Well if a girl is 'fast' then it mean she's a bit... free with her affections! 'Bloody hell, I was in the pub last night and this lass grabbed my crotch, talk about fast!'

Quick and dirty is not a known phrase or anything, but still worth a chuckle!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have a question/observation about this.

I was going to reply to my own post and miscalculated the time (20 hours had passed, not 24), so my posts got merged. Since I want to keep them separate for the sake of neatness (not to mention they're pretty long even separately) I just deleted the edit and thought I'd wait a few hours before trying again. The posts got merged again, except this time it said "added 3 hours later"... and then I noticed that every time the merge happens the date of the post gets update to the date of the merging, which means I've got to wait another 24 hours now.

I was wondering, is this intentionally setup to change the post date when a newer one is merged with it, or is it a glitch that can't/isn't worth being fixed?

[IMG] It's intentional, but for a reason. The date change on the post also means that every merger marks the post as new and it appears as such for everyone - it essentially acts as a bumping of the thread without an additional post needing to be created. This could be disabled, but then mergers would act as simple post edits, which means that they could be relatively easily overlooked, especially if no one else replied to the thread subsequently. As such, the current way of doing it is really far better.

I can't do anything about your situation unfortunately, so you'll have to wait it out...

Don't worry about it, it's not the end of the world and the post can wait. I was just wondering if it was a glitch or intentional, and you've provided a very convincing argument :)

The exact same thing has happened to me a few times, and I have the same browser (but a new update just came out yesterday, which I've applied). I don't have a Mac, though, since only populist tools and the technically inept use macs. :p
