Any Haer'Dalis fans out there?

That's odd because even before I got my ToB I never recall ever having that problem. All I used back then was the SoA patch and I didn't even know mods existed.

hmmm. Really wierd.

But then my protection from evil has never really worked to my recollection so...

I would have preferred a Haer Dalis romance. I know several girls that feel the same way. Maybe it's just the friends I have but a brash loud mouth braggart like Anomen with his poor heavy handed compliments would have been turned down flat by them in a bar. I know it's out there but in my experience somewhat of a minority that any compliment is a good compliment when it comes to my friends at least. Haer Dalis is at least very smooth about it.

 

There is one being made somewhere, I think. There are romances for practically everyone that have been made by various sites: Mazzy, Edwin, Bi Viconia, Imoen, Sarevok...

 

Right, because people are going to want to romance Mazzy ... WHY?!?!

Because she's the only strong female in the game. The others are all bitchy and whiny to some degree.

HD and Bi-Viccy are in progress over at G3, Mazzy is in progress over at SHS, and Sarevok is in progress at RPGDungeon. Only Edwin is done (Imoen is SoA-only for now), and he's also at SHS.

Who in the HE LL would want a romance with
Edwin or Imoen ( or Anomen for that matter ) .Edwin is creepy, Anomen is so much like a State Trooper it scares me, as for Imoen, Who wants to date a chick that calls them little brother .

About why HD is powerful...

In ToB...even when I'm not meleeing, this guy boosts my entire party's AC by 20, gives us WAY more attack and damage bonuses than I can remember (Since its been a while I last played a Blade ) etc etc.

To quote Scythesong, you could beat Firkraag to death with nothing but a plain old quarterstaff with Aerie if you were so inclined!

He can also get 9 attacks per round once he's properly equipped, he can use any item in the game, and this translates to MADNESS when you find stuff like Gorgon Plate +4, Carsomyr +5, Vhailor's Helm, Crom Faeyr, etc etc etc.

Basically, he's a maintenance nightmare in a party of 6, but he is every powergamer's wet dream come true!

 

From a roleplaying perspective, Haer'Dalis is one of my favorites. I finished the game with him on my first time (with a female paladin).

Now I'm playing a bard myself and maybe it wouldn't be a great idea having another bard in the party (I'm taking Keldorn as the "bootable NPC" - you might say I just switched roles from my 1st game to this one).

But you never know... I kinda play my skald in the "wrong" way (I like to play him more as a fighter who cast a few good spells and I tend to only use the bard song when my HPs are too low - otherwise he's kicking ass with the Blade of Roses +3). Maybe it wouldn't be crazy to have HD after reading all those strategies here.

Hey, I like the whistle. And his voice is pretty cool, does that actor do any of the other Bioware NPCs? I haven't noticed.

 

2 bards is way over-kill...NOT if you have 2 Blades however!!

Make your NPC a Blade, take Haer'Dalis along, maybe Edwin, Imoen, Aerie, Jaheira...

WOW! That is going to be SUCH a powerful party, its not even funny...Imp. Irenicus would be a walk in the park!!
