    It seemed like my assassin's THACO did improve, and you can only make one backstab per hide.

    Backstabbing just got better.

    I have a new assassin (going to dual to a mage). I tried out the poison against the golums in Irenicus's dungeon. One backstab and poison - killed him whislt I ran away.

    Incidently, I met him later after I had set off the alarm in the bedroom and saw the djinn. He chased me around until I put the cursor on him and it read 'Dead'. Is this a new kind on undead golum? One hit then killed him and I got the 2000 xp.

    Oh, and my assassin just gets better and better- over 100 HP and x7 damage...

    Well, I play a thief only party, a Fighter/Thief, Assasin, Cleric/Thief and Ilusionist/Thief... That 4 times backstabbing... :) Often deadly....

    my Assasin is now level 18, Backstab x7, Strength 19.... :)
