    Well, I must say that sirine singing goes more like uuuuuu-uuu-uuu. I find it nice, it is really spooky, especially when you know what will follow.
    Damn, there are things in this game that can make you poop your pants when playing for the first time. Great athmosphere, just GREAT. (especially Durlag's tower and the Candlekeep dungeon.)

    As for the quote... hmm... Krystin?

    EDIT: What I find scary about Durlag's tower is the way the story is told. The whole story of durlag's fall is like a puzzle - as you advance you uncover the many different parts and put them together to understand the whole thing...and get icecold chills. At first you do not understand what is happening at all, you just walk unsuspectingly and run into a tortured body and a book next to it saying something like "they came from the east", then you see all members of the family turning one by one into doppelgangers. "Swiftly walks the treaturous doppelganger into my dear son's room..." The whole story is a perfect horror movie script.
    P.S. That chess game is my favourite part - I will never know what is the purpose of it there.

    Yeah, the catacombs were scary (everyone you know turns against you :mommy: ) but Durlag's Tower just made me sad for poor Durlag. And all those hasted monsters just pissed me off.

    As for your guess, it's not Krystin. Let me give you a hint: She's not human.

    The fence at the thieves guild? Where you can buy/sell stuff. Can't remember her name or if she's human or not.

    @Sticker:
    :hmm: I think Black Lily does threaten you, but I'm also pretty sure that she doesn't use those exact words. And her avatar is that of a human female thief.
    EDIT: I just checked, and BL actually doesn't threaten you.

    @Apeman:
    Good guess, but imho, Abela is more likely to plead with you than threaten you. It's not her either.

    Are you talking about the one in Cloakwood?
    EDIT: If you are, Centeol doesn't say it either.

    Another guess from out of the blue:

    edit: sparkly sunstone; I love my gems. thanks, Tal!

    Nope, not Desreta, though the one who says it is in the same sector.

    I'm annoyed that I don't have a save game while I was in the big city. It's more guesses from me. Can I make a list? ;)

    Let's go with the uber-b*tchy, teenage priestess Tenya.

    No, I'm pretty sure Tenya is human, and I'm completely sure she doesn't say it.

    Final hint: 30 XP.
    If you can't get it from that, you haven't been exploring Baldur's Gate nearly enough. :shake:

    I say this with respect and a lot of tongue in cheek: FU, Felinoid! :lol: Dam, dam doublty-dam! The times I thought about that other sirine! I never mentioned because I thought, 'Oh, Fel wouldn't be *that* mean, would she?' I guess you are. ;) It's the kidnapped sirine that kills her kidnapper. WTF is her name, anyway?? I'm lucky if I can remember what I'm doing five minutes from now.

    :hahaerr: Good on you!

    edit: Scrounged around Dan Simpson's walkthrough and found her name - Larriza.

    Well... Yes he would. It's another one of those 'every tenth time you right-click' quotes, and it is indeed said by Larriaz. I was originally going to save it for a challenge, but it seemed like an ideally ironic comeback to the sirine-singing quote. :evil: Your turn again, kuemper. :D

    P.S. After posting the quote, I looked around and found out that every sirine except Sil will say it if you right-click on them ten times.

    Skie? (a totally random attempt since I can't remember half of the characters you mentioned in this thread).

    It's not an NPC, just an innocent bystander. :) The elipses are there because the last word *will* make the answer obvious.

    Actually, Drizzt is northwest of Nashkel. You're probably thinking of Arabella, who must be saved from 8 Xvarts northeast of Nashkel. But the point is that any cow will say it; I heard it (Ouch. I mean moooo.) from one of the Candlekeep cows a couple of weeks ago, and was LMAO. How did I not remember that? :doh:

    Morgoth, you got it. I'm digging deep, guys, since I'm trying to balance play amongst BG1 and BG2, IWD2, Runescape, writing a suitable story to post here and making sure my husband has enough clean socks for work.

    Sorry for the cornyness, but there ain't always crisp apples in the bottom of the barrel.
