Boots of Speed - can you slow them down?

    Small moves, Ellie, small moves...

    Don't walk to the other side of the screen all at once; have your speedy char wait for the others. Problem solved.

    Incidentally, the boots provide NO attack bonus. The 1/2 attack you gained at level 13 is a normal levelup for all fighter types.

    I could use SK if I had it, but I haven't and I don't want it. I've used CLUAConsole to move on Jaheira's romance (I got the bug fix so late that the game was dragging on anyway); I've also experimented with some of the easter eggs, but not in the game I was playing. I'd rather do it with the tools provided in game (yes, that does mean reloading once or twice :)).
    So - small steps inside dungeons, take off the boots outdoors where you don't want to be minutely controlling your party.
