This magazine cover is intresting with the baby magazine in mind which was notsexual at all it was only a baby nursing. I think that i appropriate for a parenting magazing but hey what do i know

This one however is sexual and a bit well unfitting for a TV mag.

 

Oh come on - you're trying way too hard to find things wrong with American culture. There's nothing over the top about that TV guide cover. Provocative, yes - but it's nothing that hasn't been done before.

 

I would have been offended had the baby been about six inches to the left. An arching squirt is just tacky.

 

I don't dislike America or american culture i was just pointing at the strange fact that that TV mag wich were sexual dind't provoke a debate.

I got family in the US so I am there for at least amounth every year during my holiday. It's a lot of good things to tell about the US but if I'd posted that here it would be very offtopic right

 

I seen that in yahoo news a while ago. If the US is supposed to be the worlds largest consumer of porn, why is a breastfeeding mother so offensive?

 

I don't know if the US is the biggest consumer of porn but they are the biggest producer. Nothing wrong with that tho if you cna make money on something it exsists, logic really.

The word pathetic is only a start. That breast could have as easily been an elbow. They were obviously trying to be very tasteful, and succeeded in my oopinion. A breast is not a sexual organ. It can be used during sex but is hardly neccesary, and in no way is needed to perform the action that causes reproduction. After all, men have breasts too!

 

The problem is that we see too many men's breasts during the summer and not enough female breasts.

These people see something sexual in breastfeeding? Can't we send the police at them for possible child molestation?

 

I don't know...maybe I am just a perv, but when I see a woman breast-feeding in public, I usually take a split second to see if I can see some boob. I mean, a breast is a breast, and no interceding baby is going to shut me down.

 

Possible, actually. Scary, but possible.

 

Honestly, I think only less than 1% would be bad enough to react to a picture such as this in any country - perhaps except the Middle East. I just can't believe that in the US, where violence and sex are so prevalent in the mainstream culture, people would get so riled up about something like that. So it's ok for movies to show violence or death but not for a magazine to show a woman breastfeeding her baby?

On the other hand, maybe it's exactly because sex is so prevalent. Probably people don't equate a woman's breasts with anything but sex anymore, and think that (given what some girls and women wear), an exposed breast is basically porn. Maybe they just can't perceive it any other way - even when they have a clue as obvious as a feeding baby. I wouldn't be surprised if the same people who protested had been reading Hustler much more than health, childcare or women's magazines combined.

While it's true that you see dirty things because you have dirty associations, it's not like the author's intentions don't send a message of their own, you dirty, dirty man.

 

My wife still can't find Dick... she's rather upset about it.

But that's simply how it is, one person will see a normal conversation, another will see sexual innuendo everywhere. Try having a conversation with the words "long", "hard", "wet" and "come" and watch certain people crack a smile.

 

In Pittsburgh they had a weatherman called 'Dick Assman'. What a name!

To people in the UK, 'Wank' is a very funny surname, but it doesn't even raise an eyebrow in the US. I couldn't help but laugh when a girl introducted herself as 'Jodi Wank'.
