    [IMG] That may be true...But Brits suck at baseball!

    Wasn't ice hockey invented by the Swedes?

    Remind me to drive up to Canada, dip you in maple and feed you to the polar bears along with Reepnorp! :p ;) Teehee...

    Oh...BTW. Go Flyers!

    Don't mention the Swedes and ice hockey in my presence ever again! *grrr*

    I still have to go see Joa and smack him with a big stick.

    I think it was Canadians who invented it....

    [IMG] See...Now I look at it as yet another instance where America takes something created by another, and makes it better. ;) :p

    I heard an American invented the toque too!

    Canucks?!?!? They are terrible! You should get a real team like the Quebec Nordiques or the Winnipeg Jets...Oh, I forgot, they moved to the US! Teehee!!!

    [IMG] Everyone over here gives Canada credit for Ice Hockey, which is a rather fun sport. Strategy-wise, it is very simplistic like Soccer. However, the speed and toughness make it palatable to the U.S. audience.

    I know America invented Basketball and Football. I think we invented Foosball too! :p :roll:

    I'd much rather play baseball than to watch it, I play over 150 games each summer so I'm a bit busy :D but if I had to choose a fav team itd be pirates(scary) or phils since I normally go with the PA teams(born and lived there most of my life)

    @Bel

    The only reason our teams move to the US is because you have to pay incredible amounts of money just to have a winning team.

    @Blackhawk

    Basketball was made in the US but by a Canadian.

    As for baseball, remember that the only reason you have more teams is because you are bigger. We have better teams though...

    And Canucks still rule!

    @Jaguar
    Don't ever combine the terms "winning team" with the Winnipeg Jets/Phoenix Coyotes...you've been out in the cold too long. I don't know where you get the notion that Basketball is a Candadian sport, it's as American as Rap music and McDonalds.
    (/thinks he just insulted Basketbal)
    I don't care that both Baseball and Football are derivatives of other sports, what Amaericans have done are to take those sorry, backyard sports and infuse them with tactics and strategy that were non-existent. There is no comparison to the level of thought that can go into a game of Baseball. Of all the major sports, it is the most like a chess match, where the field manager can have much more effect on the outcome of the game than in any other sport.

    People who claim that baseball is too slow are unable to understand the subtlety of it, and need a fast paced, constant action show to keep their attention.

    I enjoy football, hockey, basketball and soccer as far as team sports go, but if I want to be intellectually challenged as well as physically challenged, there are few equals to the unique American sport, Baseball.

    Well, I cannot argue the point that baseball is intellectually challenged. :D JK

    And basketball is too Canadian. We made and showed it to America, next thing you know there is the NBA with only one Canadian team. It figures. :heh:
