I would rather live with a tribe in the amazon rain forest then live in the usa. Anyway, I don't need to go to Holland to get paid for doing nothing; I can do that in the UK.

    Jesus.

Sorry if I sound harsh. But I bloody hope that was a silyl off-hand comment. England is the best country in the world man. For so many things. No need to leave, you won't find better. Greener grass always has dog **** on it.

Before this goes any farther, that's enough of that.

I apologise for being disruptive and I apologise for sounding harsh. But I won't apologise for the sentiment and feeling behind them.
I feel really strongly about this one. Anyway, no further messing about in this thread as BTA said :) .

BOC is right, we are not a EU-member. That means inside of the middle and completly screwed. I think there is a certain notority of being a tax-heaven. But I think the Channel-Islands, Luxemburg, Liechtenstein and Monaco have lower taxes. Liechtenstein is in a close relation to the EU, so you could move there.

That is, if your not claustrophophic, those mountains can come close. Most British settle around Montreux so you should consider the valley of Uri ?

Just to clear that up. Even if it's propably Appenzeller that's on your mind, our cheeses are great. You did have your weekly dose of Raclette, didn't you ? Try Cervelat !

Edit: Taxes aren't the only problem to worry. For a foreigner, Switzerland is pretty expensive to live in. You got a job that yields a lot of money ? If you are a teacher from the British Isles, If you were told when your moving to Switzerland, you thought you'd have died and gone to heaven, when the pay-cheque arrives.

Edit: Is that the second conditional that I messed up ?

It can't be anymore expensive then England, I found out a lot about Switzerland though, it works out a lot cheaper. Renting a flat there could be a bit of a problem to start with I am told.
