I like christmas more because I like giving things to people...and since it's expected, I don't get weird looks. But x-mas always pisses me off cause it never snows where I live at until mid-january. I would give anything for a white x-mas!
(I've been thinking about taking the twins to see santa for the first time, but I can almost envision the screams of horror, especially since one of them is terrified of men. Maybe next year.)

 

I love Christmas, in my own commercial atheistic fashion. If this were a decade ago, I'd have nice long list by now. Sadly, these days I find myself struggling to think of something, then panic and ask for pants or something else ridiculous.

on topic now: I guess I like Christmas. You get loads of Christmas cards from people you haven't seen in years. The food is usually good and the presents, well, it's always nice to get things. (yes, even that cardigan grandma knitted. You know, the one that has been in the wardrobe for years. )

 

i hate people and i am from Sweden... having German and polish family... not dutch though...

 

I haven't cared much about it either way for the last two or three years. For one thing, anything that I actually need right now is either far too expensive for a gift (so I have to get it myself), or is easily doable without. As was said above, if this were a decade ago...

I don't live very far from family, so I can see them all the time, and I am not familiar at all with any family member other than my parents and grandparents.

 

I much prefer Thanksgiving, myself, but my least favorite holiday is Easter. The stress of Christmas can be a bit of a rush unto itself, but it never seems that the end result is worth all the hype (well, except for the year we got engaged...). I like Thanksgiving because it's all about friends, family, and FOOD!

 

I don't do Christmas, I celebrate Yule

I like the whole giving and recieving gifts part, and some of the christmas food... our family traditions are pretty simple.

Seriously... I wish I could spend this Christmas with my father... he's getting old and I have yet to spend a single Christmas with him... I am getting tearty-eyed even thinki9ng about it...

I love Christmas! the stress! all that gathering the family around the tree thing, it's nice. We don't have thanksgiving in Sweden so I wouldn't know but it sounds almost like the same thing; eat 'till you can't look at a cookie without throwing up, and do it with friends!

Only wish my parents would throw away that old dusty plastic tree and buy a real Christmas tree this winter, one that smells..

 

I love Christmas! It is a time of giving and being with family.

 

I love the christmas dinner! though the presents hype.. ugh..

 

I love Christmas time because I get loaded with preasants.
The day after Christmas is my birthday/Cool Peoples National Birthday Day.
