Back from all night playing :D And I had this "one...more...turn" for about 3 hours untill I finally went to sleep.
CIV series are one of the most time consuming/sucking games. :D

Gamespot gave this game an ownage review, does it live up to it? Gamespot are normally spot on, but for some reason I don't think I'm going to like it. I think I might just wait 4 months, and then buy it on eBay for £3.

Usually "ownage" reviews are wrong. For example: they also rated Battlefield 2 and Unreal Tournament 2004 near maximum, but we know both games are that same old fragging with newer graphics. Civ4 isn't bad and will certainly entertain you for the worth of your money, but it just isn't good enough to be rated "classic."

BF: Vietnam was the same old fragging with newer graphics (well, mostly new vehicles). BF2 is not. The commander and squad leader positions make quite a bit of difference.

Yeah, yeah. Off topic. I know. So sue me. Actually, don't, I can't afford it.

@Sarevok I'd wait and then save yourself by buying something else.

I managed to achieve a space race victory without crashes and theis took 3hours 54 minutes and I felt disappointed, there was no sense of satisfaction that you got with the previous verions, and the other civs are all nice and don't fight. :nolike:

My first game ended with domination victory (and without any wars :D ) My empire: 74% of land and 91% of world's population :p . Victory in 1988 AD after 8 hours of playing. One more turn must hold on
