    I love that quote!

You know Morsmordre, you are the reason that Coffee is so popular in America
I'm reading a biography of John Adams and it mentioned that when the British and Americans (Colonialists) began to part ways, a sign of a "true patriot" was to drink coffee instead of tea.

One more good coffee quote ..

Apparently one of the Popes was offered Coffee and he declared it the drink of the Infidels (Turkish Muslims). After he tasted it he declared it suitable for all believers (European Christians)...

One really nice coffee if you ever get the chance to try it is Cardomon Coffee. It is originally from Kuwait and other Gulf States. Try it since it is not all coffee bean.

My sister has a fridge magnet that states "No coffee, no workee"...

Coffee with cardamon is awesome. Beware, though, it's a strong aphrodisiac. Especially if you take four

Well, no, in fact I pay attention not to have dates or any meetings with females on days when I feel like drinking lots of spiced coffee. Especially because cloves and some other herbs in it are also aphrodisiacs. If you get four or five, you could even start to love your lawfully wedded spouse ;)

I drink coffee from Guatamala -- it's dark and rich with a strong bite, to which I add copious amounts of sugar and a spoonful of amaretto creamer. Mmmm...such a nectar to tantalize the palate!

(It's also a sure-fire sleep potion for me at night as well.)

Coffe puts you to sleep? Does it like not have any caffine in it or something?

Depends, sometimes human organism works in strange ways. Inputting caffeine suggests a need for it other than addiction, I think ;)

I've managed to fall asleep after 13 coffees, sitting in an unstable chair & people tripping all around, next to a roaring loudspeaker during my prom counterpart. I wasn't drunk.

Jaguar -- When I drink it at night it makes me sleepy (and yes it is caffeinated). In the morning it has the opposite effect, which leads me to believe that perhaps it has to do with a saturation point. By the end of the day, I have significant amounts in my bloodstream already (though 2-3 cups is about my limit for the day)...any more added justs tops it off. And once the body gets used to those levels, that additional amount just doesn't have the oompf to overide general bed-time fatigue. That's my best guess, but who knows. I definitely get quite a different reaction from a cup in the morning, when my caffeine level is non-existent -- thank god! :D

Interesting theory Spellbound. I was thinking that maybe the sleepiness that some people experience is due to a negative reaction to one of the many other chemicals that is in coffee.

Coffe dont make me sleepy, not more awake either though. But I think it´s like with most other things - You get used to them. First cigarette I had felt in my throat, now they dont. Get the picture?

From today's paper, there's a restaurant in Seattle that serving the Seattle Signature steak: a filet mignon dusted with Starbuck's dark espresso roast. Apparently it's a huge hit - a third of the menu sold on its first night.

Spelly, go to Rippe's and drop the $29 and report back, okay? ;)
