    Right - a normal response... ;)

I'm a big fan of Thai myself, and I'm not too keen on Italian food. Maybe it has something to do with the local Italian restaurants not being worth neither time nor money, I don't know. Some Vietnamese dishes are also good, simple and fun. Ever tried Nem?

Always good to know that you can get oriental food in the Orient! ;) :p

I still think the best food I've had was in Italy, New Orleans (Cajun Rocks!) or in Quebec. It had a French feel, I like it a lot!

Okay then I'll clarify. In Hong Kong, you can get more than just authentic chinese food....though you can get quite a bit of that...it's such a diverse place, they've got great thai, indian...well, maybe not japanese (for obvious reasons). BUT not every asian country has authentic oriental food.
    Meanie-head.

    Oh, yes.

    Yes.

Yes, you can definately get quite a bit more than just authentic chinese food.

You can get some very, very, very, very impressive, authentic, Chinese Food. It is outstanding in every way, shape, and form. Worth experiencing at least once in your lifetime.

Sir B., it sounds like you could use a week trip to Hong Kong.

    Hmmmmm.

Maybe Patya Beach. I dunno what Hong Kong is like now the Chinese have taken over it.

I shudder at the thought. We just went to Central and wandered the streets til we found a good-looking place. Went to Kowloon a lot. They had a neat museum. But I dream of going back.

[IMG] EJ - If I went to Hong Kong, I'd go for a month...If I'm going to fly halfway across the world...I'd stay a while!

Actually, I think my next trip will be to France or Russia.

France - Because I want to see Paris, and maybe some battle sites from WW2 like: Normandy, Bastogne, etc..

Russia - Because because it's been 10 years since I've been there and my Russian is getting rusty!
