good combo but the order it would happen in is more like.

Have a Chain Contingency with three Abi Dalzim's Horrid Wiltings and set that to See Enemy.

    and the next two

Make a Spell Trigger with a true sight and two Lower Resistances.
Make a Spell Sequencer with a Greater Malison, and two Spooks.

In any order, unless you cast the contingency spell in battle.

Potentially they could if the ai scripts had half a braincell between them but they don't unfortunatly.

@Casey: The reasoning for the spooks in the combo was that when you are at a level to cast Time Stop, the Saving Throw penalty for Spook increases, upto a maximum of -6, which is formidable...and if Draconis is spooked, he doesn't usually use any of his special abilities, like going invisible, etc etc, basically just runs around and hits you if you get too close. A "Hold Monster" or two would help out here. Then, if you arent soloing, the rest of your fighters can activate Greater Whirlwind and kick his bootay!

Even if the bad guys had good AI, it wouldnt matter, because when you chuck like 5 fingers of deaths AFTER they are Greater Malison'd, they cannot do anything, and the chances of them making a save are abysmal...hence...AI wouldnt matter...nothing would!!

Well after playing Ascension, Eclipse party, improved sendai and tactics, all of a sudden normal old Draconis feels like killing a sheep with a machine gun... very easy ;)

Btw Faraaz there are more then a couple of way's to defend against anything we, the players, can throw at them (except Timestop of course)

Fingers of Death will only work wonders assuming your opponent isn't immune to death magic.

Casey's right - the Spell Immunity: Divination + Invisibilty combo is one of the most powerful anti-magic tactics in the game, and could change the whole meaning of magic effectivity.

It doesn't matter if you have all the spells in the world when you can't target your opponent and he's highly magic resistant.
If this is the case, you'll definitely need better tactics - and probably the favor of a luck god or seven.

But this alone is not enough to protect you from symbol spells and comet and other spells like it.
for one, you need Immunity conjuration for the symbols and Im not sure about comet, does the Cloak of miroring (or that one you get in Shaugin city whatevr it is) protect you from this?

A little supplement: the bastard is not immune to fire. Several fire clouds, storms etc - in short: highest level mage and priest spells - make a short work of him. Especially with timestop to which he isn't impervious.

No. High MR, resistance to magical damage and low saving throws will. Improved Comet will only do a fourth as it should with the right items.

I'd advise against low level cloud spells - you'll be killing your party rather than him.

Destroying Draconis is a serious challenge indeed.
Wizard characters are very useful here.
The following spells are effective, in proper order of course: Dragon's Breath, Time Stop (2x), Lower Resistance/Pierce Shield, Energy Blades.
Pump a lot of Melf's Acid Arrows, Magic Missiles into the dragon during the TimeStop Effect.
Recommended summoned creatures: Planters, Devas, Elemental Princes, Elementals.
Use Death Spell against his Efreets.

If someone has a high-level Warrior-Wizard, there is an extremely effective tactic usable in case of any battle: Improved Haste+TimeStop+ATTACK!

Here's one of the best tactics, completely fair and all. When you first import your game from SoA, do not import Final Save.Instead, open the first five eyes, and make sure they make you immune to +1 weapons or less. Then save and import this game to ToB.When you get to Abazigal's lair, go with your character alone to see draconis. Make sure he's protected against acid, just in case you cannot back off to your party in time. When Draconis starts summoning invisible stalkers and bashing you, you will notice he cannot harm you because his hands are not weapons +2! Same thing for invisible stalkers! Just whack him to death and do a quick run after he´s dead and becomes the dragon. A good way to defeat him is backing off to the stairs after he appears.(be sure your character is hasted) he´ll go straight after your character, no matter if he's invisible or not. outflank him with your mages, just to keep them out of harm's way, and start breaching and magic-missileing him, while your party whacks him to death. It's a good moment to use those "protection from acid" scrolls collected during the game. A good wizard with Time Stop, Greater Malison, Cone of Ice, Ice Storm, and any kind of high-level damaging spells can deal with him promptly.

Defeating the "monk-wizard" Draconis is not hard at all. A (hasted) Deva/Planetar/Elemental easily deals with him. And of course your warrior character should possess the Kl'ogarth+4 (my spelling might not be correct), the powerful throwing axe which comes back to its user. This is very effective in all battles.
Defeating the "dragon" Draconis is harder in my opinion, however, the difficulty of a battle might be different in every player's case (difficulty level, party, levels, etc.)

    Some tips that might help.

Just after Draconis shapechanged to his dragon form.
    Spell Sequencer- 3 lower resist
    Spell trigeer- Greater Malison-silence-Horrid wilting
Timestop - Improved Alacrity - All offensive spells you can think of.

Heh, that should do the work.
