I never used to like dentists, mainly because I have had some pretty terrible ones.

My first decided it was necissary to go overboard with numbing injections, feeling the need to numb pretty much all my mouth when removing one tooth...and she wasn't very good at the injections they hurt quite a few times.

My next dentist didn't really seem to know what he was doing, he'd just go through the routine of looking at teeth, all he would ever tell me was "just keep scrubbing"...I mean thats not even slightly useful...does he want me to brush my teeth for the rest of my life non stop? Anyway he wasn't very good.

But my new dentist I moved to recently is awesome, he's quick, professional, and has really restored my faith in dentists...I just need to work on understanding his accent :D

My Turkish colleagues again: My religiously most conservative (she wears a scarf and dresses traditionally but short of burqua and all that) Turkish colleague has a toothache. It's her tooth that, as she told me, has a history of ro(o)t problems and ro(o)t treatment, which, in my reading, in combination with current pain, suggests a certain urgency.

Point is, she doesn't go to her dentist. She doesn't because she is unsure whether it is allowed to go the dentist in Ramadan. So, before doing that she will go consult her cousin on what the religious law says. :skeptic:
