[IMG] Thanks for correcting, Kit...Me being the saintly paladin type, I would never place a link to see some scantily clad young vixen! Oh no, not me, never...

But if I did, I would probably put up this link: www.anna-fans.com

Since I'm not like that...you'll just, d'oh!

[IMG] The 2nd episode was just on. Not too shabby. It's cool how everything is labor intensive on this show! I like the fact that they need a translator to speak with everyone, the weapon systems haven't been tested and are klunky, and that the away teams go by shuttle instead of beaming...and have to go through detox before entering the ship again.

    So far, so good!

I like the series so far. I've been a Trek fan since I was a very young boy(my First Grade class pic was of me in a ST shirt, a red one lol). I am extremely excited by this show. Espicially since TNN started the trek(TNG) marathon this week. Just watching the first few episodes of TNG, and remembering how weak (compared to the later episodes) they were, makes me excited excited about the progression of ENTERPRISE. It is already fairly good, and when the actors really begin to get the feel for their characters it will get even better! I love the sence of excitement, wonder, and fear that this show already has.

ok i watched this stupid show last night and i am severly disappointed, like come on the guy from Quantum Leap!!! Obviously they have cut the funding drastically! :flaming: It didnt even look like Star Trek, i thought i was watching Babylon 5!

I went back to the Star Trek marathon thankfully, and got a dose of REAL Star Trek!

[IMG] You should give it time...It's not supposed to look like Star Trek. There's no Federation, only one ship - with new and untested technology. It looks like a cross between what we have now in reality and what could some of the technology we'll see in Next Gen.

That's what I think is cool about this show. It's klunky, cramped, and not sleek and pretty like when the Federation comes into being. The crew is inexperienced, and sometimes even frightened with what they face. This is where it all began - so far I think it's pretty cool.

[IMG] You make it sound like it's a bad thing to look like Babylon 5! Sheesh! B5 was the only remotely realistic SF show ever produced. (Unlike Trek which has a magical wand that simply does away with every single realistic detail and keeps showing you a magical box for everything.)

I agree with Tal on B5 It is probably the most likely Sci-fi show to actually be in in our future. At least Technology wise.

Also like Sir Bel said the tecknology is supose to look clunky net to The Next Generation stuff. The show supposedly occurs about 100 years before TOS and that puts it about 200 years before TNG.

Nice to have charictor generation starting this soon.
    Keep talkting!

[IMG] I didn't get the whole "targeting scanner" problem in the latest episode. I could understand that if the scanners were off a little with a directed energy weapon there'd be a problem, but a torpedo? Are they implying that the torpedos are some kind of primitive rocket that has no on-board guidance system? I guess so, since one of the torpedos they fired actually headed right back at them after careening off of an asteroid!

ok let me reword that, i watched alot of babylon 5, and loved the computer graphics. I loved Star Trek! I have loved Star Trek for years. I dont think this is what Gene Roddenbury had in mind when he created the show. It has gone down the tubes since his death. But now they are really altering it.

But your right, i havent watched enough of it. I havent associated where this show relates to the rest of them. They have all been based on the original story in one way or another. Ahhh we shall see i guess.

    Hey Kit!

Give it time girl. Believe it or not I hated the next gen so much when it first came out that I refused to watch it. It wasn't until started watching it in college that I realised what a fantastic show it was/is (I still think that the first 2 seasons were weak. maybe it was the skintight uniforms with no collars).

Go to STEnterprise.com and learn more about the show. I can't think of a better, and more exciting way to keep the saga alive. They are trying to reiginte the feelings of wonder, excitement, and trepidation about traveling into space. If Gene's vision was a "wagon train" to the stars, then this show has more promise than any of the other spinoff series.

As far as being put off by the guy from quantum leap; I remember seeing Jean Luc for the first time and thinking WTF! Is this bald headed old guy really supposed to be the new Capt. Kirk?

    Lets give it some time.

[IMG] Hi all I'm back!!! (I sure you all missed me :))

I think the show has potential, and even despite the crapfest that was Voyager (which ironically enough I thought had potential too) I'll at least watch the first season... but that damn opening theme has to go!

[IMG] My only beef with the show is the theme music. Give me a break! It is from the soundtrack from the movie Patch Adams!

I'd give anything for the old girl singing the old song. How did the lyrics go again, something like, "Ah, Ahhhhh, Ahahahaha, ah ah ahhhhhh ... ah ah ahhhhh ahahahahaha . . . . ah ah ah ah ah ahhahahaha AH ah ah ah ah ah ah ah!"

Yea...the theme song really sucks! I thought it would have been cool to keep the song that was on the commercials for the show. The one from the band, The Calling.

Ok I think we all have a agreement that they need to redo the theme. And I will agree, Even TOS had better theme music let alone TNG. Still BTA has a point about the missiles.
