    Just to drop in for a moment...

    I can second Hack n Slash's posts. Europe can't be examined as one thing, it consists of LOTS of nations, nationalities and ethnical groups, with extremely varying political, economic and cultural connections and attributes.

    This is the reason for why this topic might have ended as an US-discussing thread; non-Europeans think of Europe as one (little) place. Especially the average American, who is very self-centric and doesn't really know where most of the European countries are, inside Europe. (I'm not generalizing, just talking about the average; I know several individuals who are citizens of USA and have a very wide intellectual horizon regarding the events and processes of the world) .

    Hey, if Europe can prance around in tights, make-up, and big blowdried/hairsprayed hair and not get beaten up all the time, then I say they're not cowards at all.
