    More good news! A Project Leader has been appointed, and it seems Branwen is already underway. Anyone who wishes to help with the making of this mod (be it writing, coding, or whatever) should let Jolyth from RPGDungeon know via this thread. No need to register, just click the reply button at the bottom of the page.

    Good, normal and/or noble doesn't preclude doing mean things to anybody. Is Sir Lancelot still noble/good/normal for having an affair with his king's *wife*? It was a nasty thing to do to Arthur, but that doesn't make Lancelot evil...just a schmuck lead around by his privates.

    I play good-aligned PCs most of the time. I don't see anything evil or abnormal about wanting some of these NPCs to STFU. Just being able to say *something* to affect how the NPC treats the PC or others in the party. I played a game with Viconia as my cleric and got so fed up with her whiny, uber-b*tch, nobody-likes-the-drow attitude that I dumped her out of the party and stopped playing. Or *finally* tell Jaheira to back off; you aren't my mother! Or going so far as to defend Aerie against either of the aforementioned ladies' attacks.

    Why waste the chocolate? Turn him over to the Cowlies or better yet, since you're so bent on being *evil*, hand him over to Ceara and let her pick his brain...literally. :p

    EDIT: Kulyok asked me not to quote him/her here. I removed his/her quoted content. Sorry it doesn't make any sense now. ;)

    Very true, though I'm sure it earned him 'fallen paladin' status. :D

    EDIT: Never mind.

    Hey, I contributed something. Neat. :D I'm definitely going to keep an eye on this mod.

    I've always been of the opinion that some of the PC's dialogues are somewhat lacking, though I was thinking of this mainly in the context of the scenery and storyline dialogues. (Why can't you question Ellesime's governing style, to put it mildly? Why are there so few rude options in the conversations with a certain ToB character who drags your weary carcass all across Tethyr? Why do you only have like one conversation option per screen at the end of ToB? Wait, Ascension takes care of that. Never mind. ;) ) This mod is different than that, of course, but it's a similar sort of idea. :)

    More Evil ideas:

    1) be the Player you are. Sleep with Jaheira/Aerie, then dump her when you wake up and then hook up with an eager Viconia.
    2) Sleep with Viconia, then dump her when you wake up (hah! Take that eternal PMS B***!), hook up with Jaheira/Aerie and tell them how bad the self-serving B*** Viconia is in bed.
    3) when Keldorn makes his "move" with Viconia, you fatally strike him from behind...and then you sell/pimp Viccy as a hooker. Maybe that'll get you the 20k in no time? :D
    4) remember that evil merchant in Saradush, TOB? Next time you hear Anomen brag, ask him if his bragging is trying to compensate for...something.
    5) When Jan rants about killing the gnomes in the Underdark, you kill him as well.
    6) Kill Jan's sick daughter when Jan is asking for a cure.
    7) After killing Bodhi, you consume her heart and gain uber pwoers
    8) crush spiders in front of Viccy
    9) start littering plastic/non recycable trash in front of Jaheira/Cernd
    10) you rob a beggar in front of Nalia/Jaheira/Aerie

    If this mod ever comes to light, please oh please give me some way to bring done some unholy vengenance on Nalia's aunt. Let me find her in Athkatla or somewhere and let me bankrupt her so she ends up on the street remarking how much better she is than them. Poetic justice.

    One of my personal fave bits of NPC abuse dates back to BG1: I was on the Basilisk map with my evil party, about to acquire Shar-Teel, but I already had 6 members... And the most obvious candidate for a booting was Xzar. Of course, I couldn't just eject him, or Monty would go too. So I got Xzar to drop his kit and take a quick stroll through Mutamin's stone garden and - hey presto! - Xzar got stoned! :grin:

    The genius bit was that in the event Edwin got chunked, I still had a back-up mage to turn to (with the aid of a scroll). Anyway, served the bastard right for taking the eyes of my fellow elves! :mad:

    Serves him right! I used to do the same, before clearing the area I would get as many NPCs there to have nice little statues... awesome! :)

    While we're on the subject... :rolleyes:

    It's a really, really minor thing, but I'd really appreciate an evil elven party leader be able to wreak some sort of spectacular vengeance on that elf-hating merchant in the Northwest quadrant of Waukeen's Promenade. (I believe he's by a fountain?) Although I'm currently leading a good-aligned party (and as such felt obliged to turn the other cheek), I sure would like an evil elf character to be able to give him a piece of my mind before thrashing his anti-elf patoot into next Thursday.

    Oh, there's a sneaky way to show that elf hater the error of his ways. And you use an evil elf to boot! :good:

    @kuemper:

    Oooooo, please do share!

    (I know there are probably several hundred other things for my PC to be bothering about - Irenicus, anyone? - but that particular interaction just seemed to, well, fester.)

    @Rhyllian:
    If you piss him off enough to go hostile, you can just let the nearby Amnish Guard cut him to ribbons with no ill effects. :evil: ...Or if you're evil you could just kill him and take the rep hit. Whatever. :D

    EDIT: Never mind. kuemper covered the Viconia angle below.

    But just to make it clear, you don't need Viconia to make it work. Granted, Viccy is guaranteed to earn his ire, but you can do all by yourself if you take umbrage to his comments. The Amnish Guard will still attack him.

    Save Viconia from being burned alive and let her join you. Make sure you have her memorize Sanctuary and equip her with boots of speed. Have a mage memorize Invisiblity 10' or stock up on 6 invisiblity potions. Go to the Promenade where this rascist is and have Viccy stand clear of the rest of the party. Cast Invis.10'. This should have the other party members invisible except Viccy. If you don't have the spell, give everyone an invis. potion (including Viccy for backup) and have them drink. Turn off the AI button. Make Viccy talk to the rascist. They argue. He should go red and Viccy should run away. Have her cast Sanctuary - if it fails, drink the invis. potion. The Amnish guard will attack the rascist and kill him.

    I don't recall which walkthrough this is from. Just know it's not something I made up.

    @kuemper:

    That sounds like a marvelous helping of just desserts, if you ask me. :D

    (spoiler alert; if any readers aren't past chapter 6, please stop right here!)

    And very timely, too. My 20 reputation just took a -2 hit after the battle for the Rhynn Lanthorn - even though I felt fully justified in Slayering out, for Bodhi really, really cheesed my PC off when she vampirized her paramour - so now my one-time Drow abbil should accept being a part of our admittedly goody-two-shoes party... at least long enough to give that elf-hater what's coming to him. ;)

    @felinoid:

    Thanks anyway!

    (And it's a very nice tigrish photo under your quote, by the way.)
