Very hard to say, I don't believe I have ever played without the XP cap removed. You see, I have this problem, I am really impatient. I get lots of ideas, kindof like Felanoid, but I am not pt enough to play a whole game to see how it turns out, so I start the character and cheat a lot to see if it is fun.

From looking at the stats, I would think your mage would come into his 9th level spells late in the game, but I think it would be a fun solo run, just manage your quests so that you get enough XP.

When you say like Fel, do you mean when you have a million ideas you like to test them right away, any way possible!

Well I guess solo it'd have to be then, because like you, I'm pretty impatient. And there's NO WAY I'm going to wait that long just for like 3rd level spells, and it would take even longer in a party. Well, I'll the try it out in solo and then let y'all know how I'm goin!

A fighter/mage/thief is still immensely powerful without ninth level spells, just not as fun.

They begin the game with third level spells. The rate of progression for a triple class is actually only slightly slower than for a double class in the early part of the game.

Meh, the fun is all I care about! Roleplaying doesn't work if I'm not having fun. I guess at least the character will be pretty much like a demi-god though later on ...

Well, if the fun is all you care about, then go ahead and use the XP cap remover.

LOL but I still want to have fun without cheating! Tell ya what. I'll start a new game as a F/M/T and play the whole game without cheating. If I don't like it, then I'll go and use the XP cap remover, and possibly add in a few nicer weapons from the start and maybe a bit of a stat boost! :p
