My only worry is if Maclin is all of the offense as receivers get 1 point per reception and .1 per yard with a bonus 5 for 100 yards. QBs only get .1 per 3 yards. As long as Vick spreads it around I should be OK. Of course I'd love to see Vick either run one in or a pass to Jackson/Celek very early in the game.

This is my big money league. It is also my work league and I've been snake-bitten in it for years. If I pull it off I will be quite pleased.

I'm just saying that the big points you get are for TDs, and it seems like every TD Maclin would score would be on a pass from Vick - so assuming you get 6 points for a receiving and passing TD (some leagues only give 4 for a passing TD), it's unlikely that Maclin is going to outsocre Vick. Basically, you need Vick to score 1 TD (either running or passing) in which Maclin is not the receiver - and I think the odds of that are high.

Vick was giving me a heart attack most of that game as he kept on turning the ball over. However, I ended up winning.

All in all not a bad season for me. I won my big money league, and I claimed 5th place in my friendly league.

I actually thought of your game as I was watching last night. I figured while Vick's performance was less than spectacular, since he Maclin didn't score a TD that you were quite safe.

I finished 4th in both my leagues, which was rather disappointing. At least in one of the leagues the 3rd and 4th place prize money is your entry fee returned.

Complete with "Youth Football Division Champion" on the plaque?

Seriously though, we have a trophy in our league too. It's made of wood, in the shape of a goal post (but light colored wood inside the goal posts). Every year, we add a little plaque inside the goal posts of the name of the league champion - both the name of the team and the persons name. The league started in 1998. I joined in 2002, and I have two of those mini-plaques on the trophy.

Of course not, it has my team name and the year on it.

This is a work league so we don't have a permanent trophy as too many people come and go.

I was kidding Snook - I thought that was obvious.

The league where we have the permanent trophy is a work league as well. And while people have come and gone, the overall membership of the league is remarkably stable. Of the 12 people in the league, 6 were original members from when it was founded in 1998, 8 people (including myself) have been around since 2002, and we've had the same 12 people for the last four years.
