When you managed to fight your way through the game you don´t need it at all, how powerull it however may be.

I use Blackrazor in one hand and celestrial fury in the other. It is nice to stun Your opponent while healing-Leveldraing-Hasting.
As a "BLUNT-weapon-supplement" I use flail of Ages. In addition to being a plus 3 weapon it deals different types of damage "acid-cold etc" doing damage to almost any creature.

But Blackrazor is a powermonger! giving immunities too.

    EDITED HERE:
Blackrazor might be unusefull in the end, but Its still a great weapon and it will surely prove usefull in Throne of Baal.

Daystar is fine against undeads. But when You begin to hear "weapon ineffective" more and more often You will scream for a +3 or better sword. :D

This is a reply to Sir Belisarius' note concerning the original source of Adjatha and other swords. I remember the article as well and it was in The Dragon issue #69. Also had an article in the same issue with some spell books (Elminster's Pages from Mages IIRC). And the answer is No, I did not have a life, and Yes all I did was play PnP AD&D. :p

I just had Frostbrand (axe+3, +1 cold +1 acid) in my off hand and daystar in my other. When I heard, weapon ineffective, I swiched to Blade of roses and if it was a claygolem, to that hammer +1, +4 against giantsized creatures. Worked for me...!

Celestial fury is by far the best single weapon. It's ability to stun in absolutely incredible--I even think it may be broken (i.e. stuns way too often) but I am not complaining.

    best 2-weapon combo:

    dual wield c-f and c-f

absolutely devasting (I had valgar do this).

    best 2-handed non-holy avenger sword:

the +4 one that you can buy in chapter 6

vorpal sword? well.. I have my own opinion on this. ask if you care (I played a half elf 2-handed grandmaster kensai)

btw---what the heck is this kill sword thing? and how do you get it?

The killsword is the ultimate cheaters weapon. The only way to get it that i kno of is to use shadowkeeper. It deals 1500 damage of all types or something like that, provides 100% mr, gives +10 ac, +30(or something) thac0, and gives you 7 attacks. Anyone who uses that should be smacked.

You people disgust me with your only use the most powerful weapon attitude. My favorite weapon is the pixie prick dagger. It's got a cool ability and an even cooler name. How can you people resist using it??? :)

the killsword is placed on one of the controllers in Shadow thieves HQ. He attacks You from the shadows if You try to kill Lindvail after killing Bodhi for him.
Dont try killing him as he has more than 100.000 Hp.
I tried killing him with his own sword, which I created from the console. I dont know if it is in SK too.
I kept casting protection from Magical weapons and hit him like a minsc-frenzy...
    The bloke is immortal.
The sword itself is a +1000 sword which lowers your AC to -ALOT and Your THAC0 to -50
And it works as a longbow.
