    The accent poll could be fun. I worked really hard to get rid of my French accent when speaking English. That being said, I lived in Scotland long enough to pick up some very Scottish overtones...

    My first language is"Bisaya". It's a Filipino dialect, but is completely different from the national language ("Filipino", which is basically the "Tagalog" dialect). It's the language I use the most, besides English. Tagalog subjects are compulsory in school tho, so I know and can speak Tagalog well if need be.

    But I've been reading, writing and speaking English since I was very young. We use English words a lot in the Philippines, and it's the language used by the education system.

    I can also understand Spanish (broken tho, and I can't speak it) since a lot of the words in Tagalog are borrowed from it. A lot of my first words were Spanish (mesa, "kumusta", silya...).
