    It's not the amount, but his segregation of characters that pisses me off. :mad: i heard that we wont be heatring from Tyrion (my fave) and a number of characters in Feast. wtf? :/

    Go read on his site Ena, from what I understand this was pretty much the only solution. Instead of getting 2-3 chapters from all characters and the story barely moving forward at all we now get more from a few of the characters and we get to see the story moving. The rest of the characters will be in the fifth book which from what I understand wont take too long to get into print.

    Well, I just came back from a con where he was the Guest of Honor -- and in one session he indeed said that he had no choice -- the publishers told him that he either had to cut the book or split it. Rather than rip out half the story, he did the only thing he could do. He also said that he's got about 500 pages to go in Dance (Book 5), so that's almost done.

    No matter how Feast is split up -- it'll be a masterpiece, just like the others. ;)
