    If I ever want a character with rogue abilities I always mix it in with a Bard. The two seem to work well

    bringing up this old thread, as now i'm soloing with a barb, and i 've never had so much fun..... thats why i'm surprised nobody mentioned this class, really barbarian is boss !!

    Barbarian is in fact fun for soloing. The game plays different if you can't hide behind summons.
    The extra speed offers an enormous tactical advantage, (greater) rage is more useful if you don't have a cleric to buff your strength and can work as lifesaver and healing spell if you're low on HP and the damage reduction will make a difference when you reach higher levels than in a normal party game.

    Even HoF mode is soloable afterwards if you're looking for an additional challenge.

    i've heard that paladin/sorcerer is the way to go for soloing, can anyone confirm this ?
