I was born and raised in Western Canada, and then went to college in Idaho when I was 21. I married a girl from Oregon there, and we've lived in Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and now Las Vegas. I really like living in the states, the people are great, but my heart will always be in Canada.

Dude. Those people are Infidel Defiliers. They are just plain nasty...

Oh!, wait. I thought it said "a Navy aircraft carrier".

    My bad.

    Joacquin,

While the differences in Europe are more extreme than in the United States (linquistic barriers are a big part of this), that doesn't materially affect the argument that visiting one part of the US is insufficient to form an opinion about all Americans.

Further, you are wrong when you say that Europe is "MUCH larger" than the US. Even using the Urals/Caspian as the eastern boundary of Europe, its only slightly larger than the US in land area (roughly 4m square miles for Europe to 3.7m for the US). Europe is much more heavily populated, since it doesn't have the vast stretches of desert and prairie that occupy the middle of the US.

Anyway, as to the question. I'm American and have lived in California, New York, and Hawai'i for lengthy periods of time, with shorter stays in Alaska and Washington, and visits to another dozen or so states.

    Aloha

I'll never go there if you ask me.

Why should I? Is there something that I'll be sorry not to experience before I die?

Ok, ok, Shralp is there. And that's it.
Shralp, time to move to a bit eastern continent! ;):p

I've been to America three or four times. Mostly New Hampshire and Massachussets, but also been all over Vermont, I've spent some time in Baltimore, Maryland and Washington DC. Nice place, the States..... :D
