I got 10 out of 11, I couldn't figure out the angle of the second one. Now, to be fair, I came accross this several years ago. I had forgotten the exact questions, but I knew the basic idea.

 

Honestly. When you know there are trick questions in this...

Question 8 is pretty vague. How many minutes would the pills last? They last 90 minutes. 3 times 30, remember?

Though it is fun, nevertheless.

Nobleman, the question is not "How long will the effects of the pills last?" If that were the case, you could extrapolate that since you take the pills at half an hour intervals, the effects will last until a half an hour after the last pill is consumed.

However, the question is "How long will the pills last?" That is asking for the amount of time that it will be for the number of pills to decrease from 3 to 0. You would consume the first pill immediately...the only way 90 minutes could be the correct answer would be if you waited a half an hour after the doctor's orders to take the pill, which doesn't make sense.

 

OK now that a few have taken it I must say, regardless of whether a guy is dead or not, there is no law in CA that says a dead guy can't marry his wife's sister! I knew the jist of the question but really! Unless it is specifically wrtten as illegal it is not illegal!

I concur Slim, definitely lying. The real question though, is did she take the test then lie, or just lie and read it after?

Question 10 however should be reworded to say 'In the fictional story of the bible, how many animals of each sex did Moses take on the ark?'

As it stand it is too ambiguous, almost assuming that it was a Fact! LOL! (Mind you it was an American quiz...)

2 teasers... the 1st one isn't too difficult; the 2nd one perhaps slightly moreso!

1) Derek lives in an apartment on the 10th floor of a building. To leave the building, he enters the lift, presses the ground floor button and goes on his way. However, when returning to his apartment on the 10th floor, when entering the lift, he only presses the button for floor 4. He does this every time. Why?

2) There are two rooms. In room 1 there are 3 switches. In room 2 there are 3 lightbulbs. Each switch in room 1 operates a lightbulb in room 2, but you cannot tell which. Switch 1 doesn't necessarily operate lightbulb 1, for example. You cannot see room 2 from room 1. Initially all the lightbulbs in room 2 are off, and they cannot be unscrewed.

You start in room 1, and can press as many switches as you like. You then go to room 2 with the lightbulbs which as a result of your actions in room 1 will be on or off. However, once you leave room 1 for room 2 you may NOT return to room 1 to press the switches anymore.

How can you assign EACH bulb to EACH switch?

 

I didn't understand the question about the outs in an inning. English is not my best language...

Master of Nuhn- it is a question about baseball. An inning is the time it takes for each team to take the field once. The trick answer would be 3, because people will think of the team ending its time at bat. The correct answer is 6, because an inning is only over when both teams have been at bat.

Answer to the first is that the 4th floor is the ground floor, floors 1-3 are in the basement.

Answer to the second is: Flip switch 1, leave it for 20 minutes, then flip it off and flip switch 2. Leave the room and check the bulbs. The one that is on is controlled by switch 2, the one that is off but still hot to the touch is controlled by switch 1, and the one that is off and cold to the touch must be controlled by switch 3.

Somethings definately wrong here. I got 11/11 on this test and it still said that only 3 people had scored this high??? Eveningdrive said it gave the same thing to him.

And as far as the "Your Projected Love Life" - It will bloom soon! Hooray! whatever

(BTW - I went back and put the right answers in again a second time, and it still said that only 3 people had scored that high...even though I got that high twice and eveningdrive said he got the same message)

 

I got 10/11, I missed the one about baseball (I don't know anything about it!). I don't think this test is a very good intelligence indicator, as it asks questions such as the baseball one and the Moses one that require specified knowledge. A good intelligence test is one that has been carefully structured to not be biased. For example, I think the SAT I is a good intelligence test as it tests reasoning, vocabulary, reading and analysis, etc., which are all skills that are indicators of intelligence in today's society.

And about that pills question, I would pick 30 (since each pill lasts 30 min.) but it wasn't there so my second choice was 60.
