Yeah... I've done a few multiclasses with a fighter - no problem getting *** right from the start.
However, I really can't imagine making Viccy a sorceress. Sheesh, her one devotion (bar a charismatic and understanding male PC :) ) is Shar. Isn't it a bit cruel to take it away from her? ;)

@all- sorry, my bad. Is it weapon profs that are limited to 2* for multiclassed chars? I was sure that included weapon styles too.

Every MC Fighters can put +++ in two weapons style (Rangers start with ++, Paladins can too although they start with no proficiency in two weapons style) the other fighting styles are limited to ++.

Personally, I'd remove minsc's prof in two handed swords, and switch to soemthing axe, so he'd be a mace/axe fighter, and duel wield, likewise removing a point from bow, and putting it to two weapon style.

Something else I'd most like to change about shadows of amn, Camdog. Camdog always enters shadows of amn in the most abrupt periods of time, and spews is crazyness, (logic), all over the place, and spanks people who don't know what they're talking about, (me). I would make myself immune to that!

I always saw more of a Beastmaster in Minsc than a plain ranger (hence Boo). I've been reluctant to try it though because of the no-metal policy.

When Imoen returned to me after her personal ordeal with Jonny I changed her plain-thief-levels to assassin-levels, signifying her closer relation to death. (I wanna try the necromancer kit next.)
I also put kits on some other (multiclassed) NPCs. I feel it gives them even more of a unique-ness. (i.e. totemic druid for Jaheira.)

Yes I know it isn't in the rules... but what can I say? My current PC is a male Gnome Paladin... Has anyone else tried things like this?

If I'm romancing Jeheira, I always change variables in a vain attempt to get the romance to work. Does that count though? :D

I usually SK my Pally into an elf. And CG.

Hey, I like playing elves, and they should be fine with a little holy smitin. I actually tried a Holy Liberator kit I downloaded somewhere. It fit pretty well, but pretty much stunk. Useless special abilities, too many sacrifices for too little return.

I also give myself a large supply of those cursed scrolls of petrification. Then I give them to those NPCs I especially loathe. Got a nice little statue garden of Anomen, Aerie, Jan, and a few others. Nice place to relax.

You evil little...... I admire that.

Guys, don't be so judgemental. In single-player-games, what exactly is wrong with cheating? Games are meant to be fun. If they're not as fun as they could be, either because of too-high difficulty, party choices, or anything else, then there's no problem with modifying them IMO.

I've tried sometimes to make a gnome monk, but it didn't work out as expected (it uses staff animation).

I tried to make an elf monk once, but the game crashed on me. Still trying to work around that. I think it has something to do with the fact that there's only a human char model of monks, or my Big Picture install.

@ Yirimyah: I totally agree. When you've played the game a few times you might want something a touch different. It's all about the roleplaying, and if it's still fun, who cares?

@Sjerrie: why don't you use the human paperdoll and animation and only change the race with SK? (Half elf should be easier to justify?)
I never tried the Gnome pally but I did create an Elf paladin once (LG though) it was nice the more so because elves can't dual class and in BG the only benefit you have from playing a plain human is DC.

I've never used SK to give a MC character a kit (the only "legit" option is Gnomes illusionists) Though perhaps one day I'll do something I find frustrating i.e. the impossibility to DC a Wild Mage, I like the idea of a Wild Mage dualled to Thief, it is so appealling... :1eye:

    Thanks, I try.

One other thing I do is use SK to switch avatars., such as giving Viconia the Female Drow sprite and such. It's nice to have a party that isn't made up of differantly colored clones.
