[IMG] I offer this really affordable flames-on-demand service, didn´t you know Tal?
And ther´s a way to put mages to the front, just remember the incredible kensai-mage.
Actually I think these area spells come in handy for you can avoid wasting potions of healing after beeing wounded in a fight against tough foes like goblins, hobgoblins or Kobolds. A single fireball, skulltrap, stinking cloud combined with killcloud and later Abu-somethings disgusting spell help a lot to decimate or wipe out the lower enemies quickly and efficient.

Cerryl - Since everyone is trying to one-up the opposition, pretty soon, the army will BE mages :)

[IMG] I'm wondering, wouldn't a great mod for BG2 be a contingency spell, "Counter Spell"? If a spell is cast (area effect spells included) that would hurt your party, it is countered.

    Just my two cents.

BTW - How could anyone find enough intelligent beings to create a mage army?

[IMG] Well an army lead by Kangaxx consisting of all the liches in the game would be a good start. Dress them in robes of Vecna, boots of speed and they would pose a serious incentive to a low level party seeking experience.

[IMG] I like to store my stuff in a house. It was one of those quests were you had to kill a cowled wizard in the docks (forget his name). I just store stuff in his bag. Just wait till you get the bag of holding. You can pout anything in it and the weird thing is that with armor in it, the weight doesn't really increase. Try getting this
