    ElGuapo, I'm not sure but it sounds like you think you can only have one self made character in BG2. However, if you start a multiplayer game but actually play it on your own, you can create all 6 charcaters in your party just like in IWD. Details of how to do this can be found here:

    Planescape: Torment I say, and would most probably prefer a Ravenloft game if it could be produced...but since the question is BG2 vs IWD I say BG2, you come more tied to your character, since you have to protect him at all costs unlike IWD where he can be replaced by a new PC at any point during the game....
