IMHO a mage's robe is a substitute for all the cool armour fighters get to wear. Fighters get armour and helmets, but mages have to make do without hats of greater pointiness, unless they're the big E. Even if you got a "WIZZARD" hat like Rincewind it would be something.

[IMG] Yes, Anomen is funnily idiotic.

"What's with the accent? Read too many romance novels?" Now THAT was funny. Equally funny was his response to you after you said that. You can tell he was really affected.

So far that idiot Haer Dalis and Viconia have already been cut down to size by Jaheira.

"If you must protest, know that I only respond to hunger strikes, and even then too late."

"..you'll know if I speak to you because I'll spit in you direction...."

Truly, Jaheira has some of the best lines in the game.

And who can forget what she said to Xzar in BG1: "You know, you're kind of an interesting person - in a what the hell is wrong with you kind of way."

I think a series of two-handed battle axes would've been great. Or a mage blade (not unlike Gandalf's Glamdring). Bladed gloves, or hand claws, would also make for good weapons, especially for a monk.

Aside from weapons, I think a pack mule or some other beast of burden would be a good addition. Or a wildcard kind of spell with random effects on your party or foes, be they harmful or beneficial, it could also have mocking or enhanced imitations of existing spells in it's repertiore.

Other classes would be cool as well, like an alchemist. Or subraces, like a Drow for example, with different advantages and limitations, not unlike class kits.

I'm not familiar with pen and paper D&D, so maybe I'm unaware of a lack of room for these kinds of changes.
