Actually, I did find it educational. Before playing I had never heard of "Spanish fly" nor did I know the slang "lubbers" for condoms. Nor did I know the word "prophylactic". I also didn't know that they came in different types such as "smooth or ribbed". Nor did I understand why condoms would come in "peppermint or spearmint" flavors since I didn't think a woman could taste with those lips.

Still, I played the game the same way I would play any other Sierra adventure game.
So when I went to the convenience store for the first time, I LOOKed at everything, and saw the sign by the counter. It said to ask about prophylactics and so I did. I didn't realize they were condoms and didn't understand why all those people appeared and said "what a pervert" until after the whole sequence and examined the item. I finally figured out what it was. I _did_ know what a condom was but those words had never been used, nor were they in the books my parents had given me. I had to use a dictionary.

I also had no idea about the existence of the kind of doll you find in Eve's closet, and didn't realize exactly what I was commanding the first time I tried "use doll".

Oh, to be young and ignorant again...
Anyways, I did find the game somewhat educational, just not the kind of educational my mother would approve of, and she lamented not reading the back of the box for many years to come. This was about two years before the ERSB ratings.

In all fairness, every other Sierra product available for the Apple IIGS or Apple IIe in the 1988 and 1990 (might have been '91 or '92) catalogs was either completely family-friendly or age-appropriate for a 12-13 year old boy (Police Quest might merit a T rating today based on ERSB's website due to the shootout at the end and the gambling).

As a former American president would say, That depends on what your definition of "Educational" is. :D
