Let me see if I can remember.

Paladin (Calvalier when I hit SoA)
    str:20 (bg1 book + watchers keep)
    dex:20 (bg1 book + watchers keep)
    con:20 (bg1 book + watchers keep)
int:10 (hell bonus - dream stat loss)
    wis:18 (hell bonus)
    cha:20 (bg1 book + watchers keep)

Had full paladin stars(can't quite remember what that is) in Two-Handed Swords, Two-Handed Weapons, and Axes so I could have a missle weapon. (oddly enough, the fact that a Cavalier can't use missle weapons did not stop me)

I think I was just shy of 200 hp.

Wielding the Carsomyr, dragons and demons fell at my feet! Mwa-ha-ha-haa! (Oh yeah, I be bad :grr: )

    Fighter/Mage for me

I'm still playing him, so he's not uber-powerful, but he will be by the end.

    STR: 15
    DEX: 18
    CON: 14
    INT: 19
    WIS: 18
    CHA: 12
    TTL: 96

    axes, Lswords, dual wield

I've had better chars than this, but he's my favorite up to date.

Oh, favorite character? Now we've got a topic! Take a dwarven fighter through BG1, get all books, take to BG2 - turn into a beserker. Absolute fav. I mean, you can give yourself immunity to pretty much every nasty spell affect on demand, have tons of hit points, take any weapon (OK, you're not so good in missile weapons), any armor, and kick loads of butt.

I'm still taking my most powerful character through so I don't know full levels yet.

    Kensai (15) Mage (how original)

    ***** Katana
    ** Staff
    ** single weapon style

I've gone specifically for power over role play for this one so his stats are.

    19
    8
    19
    19
    19
    19

Dexterity will be fixed with the gauntles of uber cheese, and the rest is yet to come.

    [IMG] @ Casey

WOW!   I'm impressed!

That is the highest kensai I've seen dualled to mage.

I don't have the patience to go much past level 9 in kensai before dualling. (I also rarely have the patience to roll the stats necessary for a dual-classed kensai-mage). I know a lot of people go to level 13, but I have not heard of anyone going to level 15! That's what 1,750,000 XP before you even dual? And probably over 2 million more by the time you get to level 16 mage and get your kensai abilities back! Do you reattain your kensai abilities in SoA or ToB? Impressive either way...

Out of curiousity, why did you select 15? There are obvious reasons at 9 and 13, but why 15? Is there an additional proficiency point or an additional kai ability at that level?

@ Casey - How are you going to use any gauntlets with a Kensai/Mage? I thought they couldn't equip any gloves at all (IIRC, my kensai/thief couldn't even use the gloves of healing until he got UAI).

    @dmc

When you dual a thief with anything, say your Kensai, and you get UAI, does that overcome the limitations of the second class?

It's been a while, but, IIRC, yes, the UAI takes precedence over class related limitations.

Aldeth: Apart from the obvious Kensai advantage, I waited that long to get the 9th proficency, and considering the fact that Mages are actually quicker to go from levels 7-14 then a fighter can, before it starts to take forever for a mage to level up, and seeing as I'm using mod items from tourtured souls, including Dakkons streaming Blade, which eventually allows you to memorize +3 level 1-4 spells and gives an ac bonus of 4, which is even better ac along with single weapon, then a sword and sheild can get, and a list of other items which even lets you memorize +1 level 8-9 spells and a lot of extra lower level spells, and an insane ac.

Considering all this and the fact you can still get to level 25 mage easily, and have at least 5-10 spells per level, and the fact that I'm soloing, so I can memorize and rememorize every spell I come across, and pass my level 15 kensai very quickly.

And about the Dexterity, who says, that I was planing on having high dexterity anyway? besides a single Blur spell is only level 2 and gives you +3 to ac and +1 to saves (all) seeing as I'll be having at least 10 level 2 spells I dont think my low dex will be a big deal, although I could reduce str instead, but since I'm using the virtue mod (well how much sense does it make for a CG character to turn CE just cause he lost his temper with Sarevok?) I want to use the 2 point str bonus from hell in conjunction with the firegiant str belt to get 24 str.
