    Bah, I've been working with a bo since I was ten, and I wouldn't dream of using anything other than wood. A plastic bo would be blasphemous. :p And the only metal weapon I allow in my house is a wicked specialty dagger that I can use as either a knife or an armblade. :evil: Any other metal weapon would just sit in a case, and I'm not rich yet.

    I like Axes better. I have a big sharpened Battle Axe. I have a small sword as well. The folk costumes and armourship are also very cool to add to the collection of medieval weapons.

    @Goli:
    No, when I say specialty, I mean specialty (custom/commissioned). I had them make a cast of my hand and forearm so that they could fit the blade perfectly to the curves. It requires my wrist to be bent in order to lay it along my arm, but it's not that hard to do. Feeling the perfect fit with the metal and the grip is :love: .

    You guys sound pretty handy with knives and blades... :outta:

    Yes, it was just a way to use that new smiley.

    Me and me friend who go and roleplay in the woods behind my house wouldn't mind those practice wooden katanas.

    I've got a sword that was used in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Of course, I got the sword years before it appeared in the show, but I call that a happy coincidence :grin: (It's a pretty non-descript sword, one she uses in the episode where Anyanka is back as a demon after getting stood up at the altar by Xander, or something like that.)

    Man....I want some swords, although I still have yet to find my most wanted movie sword the sword from the film "Versus". Its a Japanese Zombie film, really gorey but the sword is Awesome. I'd post a link to a pic but I can't find a decent one.

    I want a spear, spears are the coolest!

    There's a store in West Edmonton Mall (if not the biggest in the world, still in the top 3) that sells all sorts of weird fantasy stuff, including steel replicas of Aragorn's sword, Legolas' two knives, Sting, Glamdring, and others from other films.

    To be honest, if I had that kind of disposable income, I'd use it on something else, but to each his own . . .

    A mart selling exotic weaponry? Oh my... No if you're lucky enough to visit Montréal (and survive it's subway or underground you brits :p )
    And you reach Montréal's Chinatown you'll see many oriental and Fantasy weapon for low price. The prices vary froms 40 $ to 200 $* Which isn't *cheap* but still acceptable.

    * Price in Canadian money

    Antique swords only cost a little more than some of those movie replicas.
