Unfortunately for Durry, the body has been stripped clean of anything valuable. During his search he notices that the man has multiple stab wounds in his back and chest, and that they appear to be from a serrated knife, rather than a regular one.

 

Durry hastely leaves the body and goes back the way he came through the fire door and goes down the stairs

 

Durry finds himself in a similar corridor to the others. Opposite him are five wooden doors. On the same wall as the stairs, to the right are two wooden doors then a fire door, and to the left are two fire doors - one at the end and the other half way between the end and the stairs. The closer fire door has some sort of sign above it, but the sign is broken and illegible.

Durry finds himself in a large open area. Opposite him is another fire door. To his left is a large desk and to his right are double doors with broken glass panels through which the street can be seen.

 

Durry goes to the window and peers out, looking for Karen

 

Durry goes to a large window set in the front wall and looks out. He thinks he catches a glimpse of movement in the street, but whomever it is has just passed out of his field of view.

(ooc: I forgot to mention, there is a fire door behind the desk as well)

 

Durry cautiously slips out the window and ducks down as soon as he is outside. He leans against the wall and looks around for any sign of Karen

 

Durry slips into the street, but Karen sees him and gives chase.

 

ooc: Are there any conveniant allyways around. Describe the area

 

Durry is running down a wide, deserted street. On either side are rundown buildings, between one and three stories tall. Most of the building's doors are rotten, hanging off their hinges or completely gone. On his immediate right is a narrow alley that smells terrible - there are two overturned dustbins that have probably been like that for hundreds of years. There is another alley further down on the left, across the street, but he can't see inside it just yet. Presumably there are more further down the street, but Durry can't see them.

 

Durry takes a hard right into the alley and runs down it while jumping over the dustbins

 

Karen follows, hot on his heels. Now in the alley, Durry sees that it ends in a five-foot wall. The buildings on either side are two stories high and there are no fire escapes or drainpipes he can climb.

 

Durry sprints as fast as he can towards the wall and attempts to jump up and scramble over it

 

Durry jumps, and manages to grab the top of the wall. As he pulls himself up a chunk of wall comes loose and he falls. Just as he is about to try again, he feels a hand on his shoulder, and hears Karen say "You run well, boy."

 

Durry grunts and attempts to duck under her hand and scramble past her

 

Karen looks surprised and lets him slip by, but just as he is almost clear, trips him and sends him sprawling. "Come on, " she says, " the game's up - why don't you just accept it."

 

Durry looks up from the ground, scowling at her, "That depends on whats gonna happen now."

 

Karen laughs again, "What do you think's going to happen?" she asks. "Do you really think I chased you all this way for a single piece of fruit?"

 

Durry stays on the ground and glares at her

OOC: Theres a storm coming up so I probably won't make it to the chatroom tonight.
