    I don't like it...or rather, I don't like it where it is.

    Perhaps a single, small, line that displays the thread name (which is a link), that changes from one to the next of the top 5 topics in the thread.

    That would look a lot better...and high tech to boot. :thumb:

    As it is now, it looks bulky and out of place. :rolling:

    We've had a news fader before... looks cool the first 5 times you see it, and then no one even looks at it any more, as no one can be bothered to wait for the news in it to roll around. Having it all listed in plain sight is much more effective in the long run.

    Hmmm...with that said, I still don't like it. It's just one more thing to push the good forums down....down...down to the ground floor.

    As an alternative, people who don't read the news posted in the proper place, should be given a special plaque...basically saying that they are idiots for not bothering to read the news before posting.

    People are getting too lazy...and dumber these days. You need to unleash your dark side that all Admins possess and seriously discipline those idiots among us... :evil:

    Conformity comes with strict Admins and a fancy, but embarrassing plaque! :rolling:

    Well, not everyone's interested enough to check the news on a daily basis... but having at least the last 5 active headlines displayed here might get some more people interested.
