    Mathetais: I know. My point was that I've never heard of anything called "Wuden's Day" (at least not in Scandinavia), and I suppose I got a bit carried away ;). What does "Wuden" mean anyway?

    [​IMG] i agree with CL. it would make more sense for the names of our (english language) days to stem from latin (and therefore roman gods). :hmm:

    Mardi - mars day
    Mercredi - Mercury
    Jeudi - Jupiter (Jupiter/Jove)
    Vendredi - Venus

    Why would it make more sense for the names of the days in the English language to be of Roman gods? English isn't based completely on Latin, but also on the German and the Celtic language.

    As for who would win Odin or Zeus, I think it would be a draw.
