    I just wanted to get a very important point across, both in the words and the method of expression. People sometimes forget that there are two components in a message. How you say something is as important as what you're saying.

    Tal, I must say that I recognize myself as one of those who have engaged in usage of foul language, and I must say that I am ashamed of myself. I know that in RL I have a very bad habit of sounding a lot like Cid Highwind at times, but I try to keep it from the boards.

    [​IMG] I've noticed that some people still keep calling other people names like moron, idiot, etc. I made it absolutely clear here and in the rules that this will not be tolerated. The last offender I spotted got his one warning before posting privileges go bye-bye. Now the thing is, there's too many of these debates going on here for me and BTA to be able to read them all to scan for breaking of the "no verbal abuse" rule. So I'm asking for any of you who see the rules mentioned here being broken ANYWHERE on the boards (but especially in Whatnots), to PM me, or send me an e-mail. (You can use the Report Rules Violations link on top of all pages.)

    It's obvious that some people here will push it so far that I'll have to make examples out of them, but I've done all that I could to let them know of the consequences.

    If it's worth your time, you might think about hacking in a "report this post" button. It's borderline Gestapo, and I hate it when the forumers/mods nitpick. But the bottom line is it *will* cut down on your workload.

    Not having to scan all the forums, and just being able to scan through the ones that someone has a "problem" with will definately decrease your maintenance time, which makes you a happier person. I, for one, enjoy my time off.

    This is basically what you're asking use to do with PM's, but I'm just saying that an actual function might make it easier on you. I don't know how hard that would be to code in; I'm not phbb guru.

    Actually, this function is already present, but I have it disabled. The link on top of the page to report rules violations was sufficient till now... But I suppose if all else fails, I can still turn that on. Thanks for reminding me.
