One fine day... (BG 1 NOT really)

Lyra watches the travelers enter. Her jaws drop in total suprise. She realizes what she is doing and closed her mouth quickly. She looks away when Majikus catches her eye.

Lyra's mind carries back a long 7 years ago when she worked for the Iron Throne. 7 years ago before a strange man took over, before she had fallen in love, before she faced death in the eye, and before her she quit her work. Her mind reeled back to the night she got into a fight and a cutthroat had thrust a dagger in her side and left her for dead. Along came a mage, young and niave, who helped her to a temple. He had the same sparkle in his eyes, the same hair, but she probably guessed much less niave. His name was...

She forgets. But Lyra is almost sure that is the same young boy turned into a man. She couldn't wait to meet him again.

Lyra can feel his glances on her, and finally, she gets up and walks over to their table, sure than her dagger is concealed, by any wild chance of fights. She looks at the two girls, then the man, and finally to her handsome savior, and says, "Do I know you?"

 

Majikus glances at the girl as she approaches and looks away quickly. His heart starts to pump and weird twitches in his innerself start to light. An old feeling, that of shyness starts to take part. He also starts to blush slightly as she approaches nearer ...

Majikus looks up weakly and looks into the woman's eyes.
"Yes ... i think we do know each other ... I swear we have met somewhere ... a long time ago ... come sit here with me on another table, i shall order some ale for you and meanwhile, we can try to figure out how it is that we seem to know each other so ..."
Majikus turns to the rest of the group
"Please excuse me ... I need to speak to the woman alone ... it has something to do with the past"
Once seated, Majikus brings over a few ales and looks into the woman's eyes.
"Yes ... i think we have met ... but i can't put my finger on it. I think I've seen you from ... er where was it? Baldur's Gate? Yes, in Baldur's Gate it was ... but where? Ah but where are my manners? I havn't even reminded you of my name! Anyway, I am Majikus ... does that help at all?"

 

Lyra sits herself down.
"Majikus? Yes, that fits. Lyra for me. You saved my life. Remember? Hm... It's a wonder, I can still picture your old self through you. Your different though."
Lyra puts her hand over Majikus's hand to search him through. The power she feels makes her flinch. She has never felt such a power to match her own. She takes her hand away and looks down.
"You're different. I can feel it. No matter, everyone changes. I have changed greatly too. I quit working in the Iron Throne when a man by the name of Sarevok took over. I soppose he knew I was going to do something to stop whatever kind of plans he has with the Iron Throne. He even raised my old lover against me. Horrible mind he has. All is past, now. I shall never go back to the Iron Throne. I guess you could call me a cowardly kind of person, but Sarevok is just too much for me.
"Anyways, what brings your companions here? That man seems quite troubled, as if someone is about to put a dagger to his throat. Say, Sarevok does look a bit like him. It might be my mind, oh well."
Lyra pushes the tankard of ale away, mumbling something about being non-alcoholic...
"Sorry for rambling on, I sometimes have a tendency to do that. So how have you been...?"

 

"Ah yes I remember that now ... I took you to the temple right for healing ... I'm sorry that i couldn't help you further ... but i was weaker then."

As Lyra takes his hand, Majikus's heart starts to beat alittle bit faster and he can feel another surge of shyness ... it had been a long time since Majikus had seen Lyra and it is the second time that Majikus gazes at Lyra's beuty ... An urge comes for him to ever so slightly tighten his grip on Lyra's hand and thus increasing skin contact ... As she looks back at him and takes her hand away, he blushes slightly...

"Yes ... everyone changes ... or progresses as I'd put it ... Yes you have changed ... you now look much more ..." Majikus just controls himself just in time to realise what he was going to say and tries to think of an alternative means of putting the sentence "... healthier, yes healthier... thats good ... yes good"

Majikus looks down for a moment while collecting his thoughts and listening to Lyra.
"Sarevok? I have heard that name ... he has gone on a hunt or something i heard from very remote contacts ... hunting what i know not ... It seems bad ... I'll join you if you wise to foil his plans ... it would be a pleasure. No Of course you are not a coward! I am sure you are full of bravery and courage when the time desires it..."

Majikus looks around to the others and then turns back around to Lyra
"I saved that Sarevok look alike ... he was overwhelmed by some goblin horde ... it can't be him ... Sarevok isn't that weak ... anyway, yeah, i saved him and left near to over 50 odd greenies dead ... only used about 4 or 5 spells to knock them out ... ah well... Anyway, those 3 seem to keep to themselves alittle bit ... all i know is that they are on a mission and one part of it is to kill this Khalid and Jaheria ... they say Jaheria is good at suducing and should i be suduced by her, they have threatened to kill me ..."

Majikus smiles as Lyra apologies for rambling.
"Don't worry, i ramble sometimes, but trust me, you weren't. You were merely getting re-aquainted with me ... anyway, yes i am fine ... i have progressed ... much stronger now then back then ... and now i search ... search for what? I know not ... love, adventure, companionship, money, goodness? I know not ... maybe all of them ... I don't know and i suspect i shall soon find out with the coming events ... anyway, enough about me, what about you? How are you? Have you any plans or anyhting? I'd be more than willing to help..."

 

Lyra looks into Majikus's eyes, his hazel eyes... And sees what she has longed for. Without doubt, she can give him 3 of those options, but she isn't sure if the 3rd would work out. Lyra an at most tell him two options she can give him, and so she will.

"Well, I can give you my companionship and adventure... But where we would go I have no idea. For now we can travel with that other man you are with.

"I will do anything that suits my mood... Whether it be adventuring with you or..." Lyra realizes what she is saying and stops short. She blushes. "As I was saying, I'm fine with whatever. I don't really think I need money, I've earned plenty enough from working with the Iron Throne... I wish I was back there working. But Sarevok... He has an evil picture in his eyes, and he is just too charismatic around people. I know what he's up to now.... Maybe not.

"If your friend is intending to go to Baldur's Gate, I must warn him of the consequences. There are evil people roaming the streets at night, like the cutthroat. Already there are tidings of dark beings taking the common woman and man, sometimes they go so far as to rob the parents of their children. No one is safe while Sarevok is in the Iron Throne."

Lyra's face turns serious as she talks, but now she lightens up, and chatters lightly of her useless wandering to Cloakwood forest, to Nashkel, and so far as to Athkatla.

Lyra looks into the eyes of Majikus, as she got the habit of to doing that to everyone, "May I join your travels with your friends? If so, we should be getting back to their table.."

 

OoC: Wow, this story has developed faster then I could see, I shall read all this as soon as possible, and then write my next part .

Rabik, looks at Majikus and the girl, where are they talking about? Than he looks at Imoen and says: Imoen something is wrong here can you spot what\s difrent from the last time we where here?

Xzar walks to the bar and orders a mug of ale, while April walks to the table where Majikus and the girl are sitting, holding a glass of fine white wine. Sha takes a sip, and then askes: So you know each other?

Majikus looks back into Lyra's eyes and he feels his heart beating faster ... yet somehow he is more relaxed.

"Yes, please come with us! You would be a very valuable edition and with your power, we would be very hard to beat. And besides that I would really ..." Majikus realises what he's saying and realises that there is no way out of this one. "... like you to come ... It would make me happy..." Majikus then looks down and blushes furiously

When April asks her question, Majikus looks at her and smiles
"Yes, this here is Lyra, Lyra this is April who is also in the group. Yes, Lyra and I know each other ... from a very long time ago ... lets just say that we havn't seen each other for seven years ... mind if she joins us? She is very powerful and would be a very useful addition to the group ... So have you found Jaheria and Khalid here?"

 

Lyra smiles graciously. "Yes, it would make me happy to be with you too, Majikus.

"Hello April, it's nice to meet you. Khalid and Jaheira, you are looking for? Yes, I met that lovesick nature woman is here. Had a few nice conversations on the workings of gods." Lyra grins nastily at the thought of her 'conversations' with Jaheira. "Khalid is well enough, but mentally very blind. He is still clueless as to where Jaheira is at night when she isn't with him."

Lyra ponders a few seconds and then asks, "So who is that man over at your table? You still haven't told me anything about that child. I am sure he is here for a special reason, other than getting seduced by Jaheira. Something tells me he is more powerful than he knows he is... But anyhow, that is none of my business, and a power burden I'm glad I have not.

"That is strange indeed. Iron Throne and I have old things to patch up, if we ever have to stumble upon them," Lyra smiles grimly, "Yes, old things indeed... I'm sure I won't regret if I have another talk with their new leader..."

Lyra sighs, then straightens up, "So, enough of me. I would like to know where you are heading after you have a chat with that - woman. I like to know that I'm not with some lost wanderers, with no aim in their wanderings."

 

April smiles at Lyra, and then says: Well if you want to travel with us, I shall Introduce you to the rest of the team.

You see that crazy guy dressed in green hanging on the bar? That's Xzar a crazy necromancer, but he is..usefull...

That girl with red hair, siting there is Imoen, I don't know much about her but she seems to like Rabik.

Rabik, is the guy sitting on the table with her, I have traveled with him gor a while, but we made a miscalculation, and where overwelmed by Orcs and goblins. If Majikus wasn't there we would have been dead by now.

I'm April I'm a aquatic elf, my people have cast me out because I couldn't swim, that is, you know, very odd, if you are an aquatic elf.

Then she shouts to Rabik: He come over here!
What is it?, Rabik askes. I did see this Jaheira girl walking upstairs, Khalid was whit her so I wonder, then she looks at Lyra and falls quiet. Majikus can see that there is a bit of anger in Rabiks eyes, did April almost sat something what must remain a secret?

 

Majikus observes the ongoing convosation with interest...

((Hmm ... so it is definate that they are looking for Jaheira and Khalid. I wonder, what has Rabbik have against the two? The mention of Khalid seemed to anger him. Plus he said that she was seductive... maybe they are together ... maybe Rabbik was with Jaheria once ... and she left him for Khalid. Hmm, interesting. If my suspicions hold true than i shall not interfere in the matter. But i cannot let an act of vengence or evil be carried out ... unless what Jaheria did was an act of evil in itself... hmm, maybe i should consult Lyra about this))

"April, if you wouldn't mind, i need to speak to Lyra alone a minute."

Majikus takes Lyra to a quiet corner and tells her what he thinks on the matter...

"What do you think dea- ... er Lyra?" ((Hell that was a close one)) Majikus sweats slightly as he almost gave away some of his locked feelings.

Majikus looks over at April and Rabbik and smiles. He then turns back to Lyra and looks her into her eyes
"Do you think we should question or ask Rabbik more about this whole Jaheria situation?"

 

Lyra gets dragged away to a corner with Majikus, something she secretly is happy with. "Of course we shouldn't interfere. But, if Jaheira - that dog - says anything against than she'd better be a good healer when she's bleeding to death. She has been locking lips with all the drunk men in the tavern when her pet isn't around. She steers clear of me, ever since I uh... showed her my dagger and how fast I can put it to someone's throat. Unfortunately I don't think I can show you where I put my dagger... Somewhere unallowed."

Lyra returns to April and Rabbik. "Hello Rabbik, I am Lyra. I do believe I shall be your new companion, wherever you will go. Indeed, if you going to be doing something to Jaheira, I will not interfere unless she says something about me. I have met her, while staying here, and I do not doubt her personality is a bit... overrated." Lyra looks straight into Rabbik's eye and says, "I am not fooled by her actions. I will be sure to tell that to anyone who comes to meet her under my good terms."

While Lyra abd Majikus are standing in the corner, April starts speaking to Rabik. Maybe we must tell them, I don't think they shall just kill Khalid and Jaheira if they don't know why.

Rabik thinks for a moment, and then says: I think that right now, he pauses to smile back at Majikus, they think I had a relation with Jaheira and that whe are her for my personal revenge. So I guess whe could beter tell them what's going on.

As Lyra comes to them, and tells them of her plan, Rabik starts to speak, April calles Majikus so he can hear it to.

The Girl in here is not Jaheira, the real Jaheira is..dead, I know this because I was there when it hapenend she was burned alive, so there is no way she could be resurected. A shapeshifter, coming from pandemonium, Who has took her looks, since there are only 3 people who know that she is dead. 4 people, April says. Rabik goes on with his story Khalid isn't as stupid as he looks, he is a great sorcerer working for an organisation that is called: The eye.There leader is a Balrog a very powerfull demon.

Our mision is to stop the eye, but first we must resceu some one, she is kidnapped by Khalid and the Shapeshifter, that looks like Jaheira. It's a halfling girl, who was with us while the real Jaheira died. Her name is Alora, and if we don't safe her quick, the eye shall kill her for what she knows.

Please, April says, Don't tell this to Xzar or Imoen, we do not really trust them. Xzar is crazy and Imoen, she just talkes to much...

 

Majikus stands next to Lyra as he listens to Rabik revealing the truth about the Jaheria situation. As he listens, Majikus inches closer to Lyra... He takes a deep breath and inches just that little bit more ... their knuckles are in contact! Majikus breathes in deeply and goes ever slightly red. Their knuckles continue to have contact for a while but Majikus pulls away after a few minutes.
His heart seems to throb
He hasn't felt like this in a long time
It sends shivers quivering all over his body and he likes it
The feeling ... he wanted to touch her hand a bit more but he cant ... nervousness overcomes him

While His emotions are mixing, Majikus is able to concentrate with the ongoing convosation.
"Hmm, yes i see. Certainly, i shall help you with the situation ... the eye? is that the unseen eye cult? I have heard something of them ... though not much ... anyway, yes i wam willing to offer you my staff and majiks ... and hopefully, Lyra will join us on this quest. It would be really good if she came ... er ... er ... you see, i mean, she is a very powerful person and would be a very useful addition ... her majiks would benifit us greatly ... yes thats it ... er ... yeah"

Majikus blushes slightly ... and glances at Lyra's face beofre turning away and feeling that feeling again ...

 

Lyra listens intentively to Rabbik, but when Majikus's hand brushes her hand, her heart skips a beat. Her breath rushes out in a small, quiet gasp so no one notices. Majikus takes his hand away and her heart returns back to normal.

Lyra blushes as Majikus tells Rabbik and April how powerful she is. "I guess you could call me powerful, I've been developing my power for almost 8 years, so I guess you could call me experienced. I will gladly join you, for I am just looking for something, anything really. As for this Eye cult, I am sure I could place the name... Just let me think. Oh I'm not concentrating enough. If you gave me more information I could place it exactly...." She trails off, unable to finish the sentence for whatever reason.

Lyra glances over to Majikus, then rests her eyes on Rabbik. "My swords are fighting for you."

 

The unseen eye cult? April askes. No that is a difrent story. The unseen eye cult is let by a blind beholder. The eye, is a difrent story.

We must wait till midnight, then we kill Jahaira and Khalid, we much look of April is her and then we must visit the guy in room 13, he should have information.

Rabik turns to Lyra, we could use your powers, but he adds whit a smile, don't let love get in the way of our mision! He blinks at Majikus. Togheter with April he walks to Xzar and Imoen to talk about the plans.

Can I cast magic missle at the zombies in the next room while I'm drunk? Xzar askes when the 2 reach him. Then he falls to the ground...

"Love? What do you mean?"
Majikus blushes slightly which Rabbik can see as clear as crystal. He then looks over to Lyra and smiles at her and then follows Rabbik and April to see Xzar and Imoen. When Xzar makes his drunken speech and falls over, Majikus raises an eyebrow in surprise.

"I'd have thought Xzar would have wanted to raise zombies for his own devises ... either ways, he is in no fit condition to battle ... he'll hurt others unwillingly. Here, I'll help guide him to his room"

Majikus picks up Xzar and and elps him to his room after having several death defying minutes of stumbling, falling and leaning backwards, Majikus finally gets him to bed
"Now don't you go do anything naughty now will you?"
Xzar's reply was a quiet 'ZzZzZz'
((Heh, I wonder if he is more harm asleep then awake ... probably))
Majikus grins to himself and then proceeds downstairs. As he starts going down he looks up and sees a figure of Jaheria looking at him. She was standing not more than 20ft away and she had an evil grin on her face

"What to come here darling? I'll give you some fun! Let me test your mettle"
Suddenly Jaheria casts a 'charm person' spell on Majikus but to no affect.
"Hmm ... you are a strong one ..."
Majikus looks bored and yawns
"Yeah, come back maybe when you are hard enough yeah?"
Majikus then walks down to ground level where all the others are.
He smiles at Rabbik, April and Imoen and then proceeds behind Lyra...
((Man ... I wish i could my arms around your slender waist ... ))
Majikus gets right behinds her and then prods a finger into her sides making her jump. As she turns around to see who pranked her, He smiles at her.
"Sorry, i didn't mean to make you jump...I'll make it up to you if you want?"
Majikus then proceeds to tell the others of his encounter with Jaheria. He then turns back to Lyra
"Seriously though, I'm sorry ... i didn't mean too ... well ..." Majikus grins at her "Okay, here's what, tell me what you would like me to do for you? As a form of making it up to you...Anything you desire..."
A twinkle comes to his eyes

 

Lyra listens Rabbik out about the plans. When he tells her she is not to let love get in the way of the mission, she smiles mischievously. "Love getting in the way of our mission? Why, love is a goodie beside the mission, like spice to roast." She watchs April and Rabbik walk away.

When Xzar falls to the ground, she sighs and mutters, "Drunk people these days... Especially when they are necromancers". She leans herself against the bar counter and proceeds to think to herself while Majikus carries Xzar upstairs.

Rabbik and April join Lyra. She hears faint rustling behind but ignores it. She feels a poke at her side and jumps. She turns around about to say something very rude, but stops short when she looks up into Majikus's face. She has never noticed how much taller he is than her. Upon the news of Jaheira, Lyra frowns a bit.

"Well, good thing you weren't charmed, otherwise I wouldn't know what to do with you on the otherside." says Lyra. She turns now to really look at Majikus as he makes his offer, and then she raises an eyebrow and inspects every inch of his self, then shrugs. "Not at this place... Not at this time... Maybe I'll think of something later on. Right now I think we should keep track."

Lyra yawns and stretches. "Obviously, if we are to do our mission in the middle of the night, shall I retire for the next 2 hours? If so, I shall head on upstairs. If anyone needs me, just good, strong knock on Room 6. Until then."

Lyra turns her heel and leaves promptly, but not before giving a secret smile to Majikus.

 

As Majikus walks of whit the drunk Xzar.

April turns her hesd to Lyra, So you like that little Necromancer? Before she gets an answer Rabik begins to speak: Wel Imoen, I think you better be at our room and gard our stuff if anyone wants to break in, kill them. ok? If it is Xzar, Shar knows what he does when he is drunk, tell him to go *** him self, if that doesn't work kill him, but make sure he can be resurected.

Me april Lyra and.. Lyra jumps up.. Sighn Majikus, shall kill Jaheira tonight. Then Majikus tells his story. April bows to Rabik and says: He is to bussy whit this girl, I can't keep track of his story!. Then Lyra walks upstairs, and Rabik shouts at her: We will wake you at one o clock!

Then he walks to the bar, and orders a mug of ale. April walks to Majikus, and askes: What kind of a fool are you? I thought you where good, but this little girl, turns you into a horny puppy, that would not be good! We have a mission, remember! And you know I'm sweet, but if I must, I shall kill one of you!

Then she walks outside to take a breath of fresh air, leaving Majikus alone. Outside she takes a deep breath and then says to her self: Why? Why must I always end up with love puppys? Is that my destiny? If only I could.. Oh never mind.

 

Majikus looks at April as she threatens him and Lyra. He tries reading Aprils aura of power through her life force and senses that his power is nearly quadruple hers. He then smiles at her.

"April lets get a few things straight. Firstly, I am good. Detect my alignment if you want. Secondly, Lyra and I are not children. We are not little and we know what we are doing. If you have a problem with it, then ignore it and don't force the dis-harmony of the group. And lastly, forget about trying to threaten us for two reasons. We are more use alive than dead and second, you wouldn't be able to kill us if you tried.

You do not know how powerful we actually are. And for a taster, I hardly broke a sweat when it came to dealing with those goblins that you and Rabbik had trouble with. I saved your necks. You seriously have no idea about what crap i have been through to get to my level of power. Maybe I'll tell you more about my history when you have cooled off and realise that Lyra and I aren't just horny puppies... We met a long time ago and we havn't seen each other for 7 years. Its a natural thing for us to be happy to see each other and should it just happen that we like each other in that way, then so be it. We cannot control our feelings for each other. Just like anyone. No one can control it. So maybe you should just accept it that maybe, Lyra and I actually feel for each other. Anyway, I would like you to tell me of yourself and how you ended up with Rabbik and Imoen etc. But like I said, maybe when you've cooled off ... until then i bide thee goodnight until duty calls."

Majikus raises his glass to her and finishes his draught. He then turns and exits to his room which by luck was room number 5. He proceeds to room 6 and knocks on the door. Lyra opens it and looks at Majikus
"Heya Maj, what is it? is there a problem?"
"No Lyra, there isn't ... i mean i was just wondering if you were okay thats all"
"Yeah I am ... er ... why?"
"I don't know ... just wondering thats all ... hey, i know its a bit late and all but i was just wondering if we could like ... well ... we havn't seen each other for 7 years so i was just wondering if like ... we could hug so as to ... er ... y'know um ... as in say hello?"
Lyra laughs and smiles at Majikus
"Sure ... I think i get you"
As they hug Majikus's heart is beating faster than ever and as his arms fold around Lyra's body, Majikus feels a great comfortness and warmth
((Man ... wish i could stay hugging you all night ... I wonder if i was that obvious? But hell! You cheeks are nice and smooth ...))

During the time of the convosation, Majikus empowered his aura so that April was able to feel it ... almost as if it was applying a pressure onto her. While under the 'pressure', April was flooded with the extent of the aura which took her breath away and she realized the power of the necromancer in front of her and how Xzar seemed puny and feeble compared to Majikus.

Lyra hugs Maj. Hugging was safe, she guessed. Finally she gave him a soft squeeze and let go.

"Good night," she whispered in his ear and gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek. Then she turned around and closed the door in his face. She leaned against the door, what was she thinking? No matter, she must get ready. Lyra magicked the lock on her door. She changed into something more appropriete, like a comfortable shirt and skirt. Then she put the dagger from her leg to her hand. Then she decided to drift off into an uneasy meditation, for afterall, she was an elf...
