As Lyra closes the door, Majikus stands there for a minute or so. His mind filled with the squeeze and kiss. It all felt so good... so right ... He sighs and walks back to his room. As he enters he looks up and sees Hook hissing at something. Majikus peers around the corners and sees a humanoid figure trying to picklock his chest which contained his spellbook and other rare magical treasures.

"You won't get much luck in there ..."
The figure spins round
"Wha the? I mean ... I was ... I was only, I mean... hell ... I'll not let you live!"
The figure charges Majikus but before he even gets up off his feet, the figure suddenly becomes motionless and locked into a paraylsis. Majikus walks over to the held thief.

"Look, I could've killed you back then and I can kill you now. But I won't. I'm going to carry you somewhere ... lets just say that your destination will ensure that you do not require to steal or kill others as you will then have a roof and some food. Be relieved that you didn't stumble on another wizard. Next time though, I may not be so nice"

Majikus then conjurs a floating disc and places the held figure on it. Majikus then spots a pouch on the thief's belt.

"Aww thankyou! I didn't know you cared"

He takes it and then sends the floating disc with the held person heading in roughly the direction of the local prison.
Majikus laughs and then proceeds to rest himself after casting a magical ward over his door as he awaits the time to carry out the mission. Meanwhile, his mind is again, filled back with images of him and Lyra hugging and being kissed only a matter of minutes before.

 

April was alone once again, standing outside the friendly arm in. Thinking.. You can, you can control your feelings! I can, so why can't others do that? If you look at that Majikus guy, he is verry powerfull, but he hasn't got the powers to control himself.

Than she saw a disk flying in the sky towards the prison, April quickly casted a spell to stop the disck and walked to the man, now lying on the floor.

What's your name? April asked. Zork, the man said. Where do you come from? I come from a small plane, I was send here to "find" gold, if you know what I mean. I need it to save my familly, they are starving.

Here is some gold, April said giving the man about a hundered coins, now go to your familly, she kissed him on his cheek and a dimension door openend, the guy went back home.

Then she entered the building again, and there she found the rest standing ready for the fight...

 

Lyra flusters her eyes open as she hears a soft knock on the door. Her room is dark, but she can still see perfectly. She takes her dagger and slides it right beside her arm. Then she whispers her incantation to take away the magical lock on her door. Lyra walks to the door, opens it and peers out. It is Rabbik.

"Time already? Alright, I'll be out in two seconds." Lyra looks beyond and spots Majikus fiddling with his staff. Then she closes her door and lights her candle. The woman puts on her boots, that just happen to have a dagger in each of them. She keeps two daggers at her sides and ties her waist-length hair into two tight buns at the semi-back of her head. She walks out, and whispers something to her door. The door closes shut and clicks to a magic lock.

Smiling, she looks around for the others.

 

Xzar is siting on a chair, eating a bowl of soup, somehow it he;ps to fade away the hangover.

April walks towards Rabik, quickly smiling at Lyra, Then she sais: Rabik, do tyou think he is ready for the fight? Other wise I think Majikus is powerfull enough to back us up. By the way, where is he?

 

Majikus awakens and looks around. He can hear voices outside his room and recognizes Rabbik's and Lyra's. He gets up and finds himself a new change of clothes.

"Colour ... what colour ... red, green, blue or black? ... hmm, I think i'll have the ... black one for this night ... yes ... evil deserves no light..."

Majikus dones his black combat robe and immediately feels a tingle throughout his skin and smiles
"Yes your magic has helped save my skin many a time"
Majikus utters a few unintellible word and the lock on his chest opens. He opens the chest and takes out 2 rings and a necklace. He also takes out a dark purple cloak and dones it around his neck. He also takes out a pair of boots which he also dones. He then stands back up and looks in the mirror

"Hmm ... have i everything? Lets see ... oh yeah the staff! ha! and yes my dagger!"

Majikus gets his staff and dagger and tucks the dagger into his belt. He then swings his quarterstaff over his shoulder and snaps his fingers ... the chest is locked again. Majikus smiles to himself and proceeds out. As he unseals the lock on his door, he mutters a few words and creates a cantrip effect of using lights to help give him more of an effect.

When Majikus has left his room and relocked the door, he turns around and sees Rabbik and April. He smiles at them and then starts practicing what he knows with his quarterstaff. While practicing, Lyra comes out and his heart skips a beat. He then finishes his sequences and walks up to Rabbik using the lighting effects to make him appear almost holy and celestrial.

"Are we ready to get em'? Need any spells of protection from evil? I have afew scrolls tucked somewhere in my robe"
He then turns to Lyra and has his first good look at her and stops short.
"Lyra ... ypu look ... look ... really pretty ... i mean, if looks could kill then i'd have gone along time ago ..."
Majikus smiles at her and then looks away as he blushes slightly
"Anyway er ... you ready? do you want a protection scroll? hell would you want to borrow my cloak? Its a cloak of protection ... its finer than the usual protection cloaks ... (its a +2) and it also gives you the ability to resist fire and cold attacks ... me? I'll be fine, I have enough resistences ... so would you like to borrow it?"

 

Lyra listens silently to Majikus while he offers his cloak and resistances. When he's done she smiles mischievously. "You can keep your cloak. I have more protections on me than you can see. Oh yes! I must prepare." Majikus watches Lyra and she feels around her skirt pocket and takes out a single match.

"Now, you will see why 7 years back someone shouted "Hi Fire-Breather!" at me." She strokes the match against the rough wall and the match lights. Dangerously she puts the match in her mouth and takes it out.

The match is out. A puff of smoke came out as she exhales and then she says, "Now, if I stand correct, we need to stay focused, and not compliment me on my thin beauty." She winks.

 

Majikus smiles as he re-dones his cloak and watches Lyra.

"Fair enough ... yes, that does look impressive ... i'd have also thought that the cloak would look good on you but it matters now now ... feel free to ask for it if you want it ... I'll willingly let you have it"

Majikus winks back
"Anyway, who says that only you can play at that game?"
Majikus stands erect, mutters a few words and waves his arms in sync with each other. In a matter of seconds, a large blue globe engulfs Majikus. His pupils fade out and his eyes glow light blue. The globe surrounds Majikus emits from his body at least 2 feet. He looks at Lyra and he smiles lovingly at her.
"Just a simple trick that ensures that the small ones do not serve to be a pain. Maybe we should rent a bare room together sometime and show off our magic ... winner gets a hundred gold or something like that ... what do you say?"
Majikus then winks at her again and turns to April and Rabbik. He then casts protection from Evil over them.
"Best be prepared now and be safe than sorry"
He then casts 'remove horror' on everyone and lastly turns to Xzar
"Hmm ... let me see, what would suit you? Ah yes i know!"
Majikus fumbles around in his robes and takes out a scroll
"Never thought i'd need this but now i do. I give it to you. You can copy it into your book or you can cast it tonight, i leave that to you."
Majikus hands Xzar a scroll of flame arrow and then signals to Rabbik and April that he's ready. He then walks to Lyra
"You alright? I have a question to ask you ... er ... i was just wondering that if sometime, we could y'know ... if we get the time and right place ... er ... go for a drink in a nice tavern ... kinda thing? Or do you like walking amongst the woods of nature? I learnt way back while i was with my first adventuring group that nature was a good sanctuary ... a place of rest and peace ... so yeah, would you come with me?"
Majikus looks deep into Lyra's eyes and a soft look comes across his face.

 

[OoC Hmm i did post something last night, but it has disapaered did this happen to anybody else?]

April smiles, then she mumbles a spell a light bleu aura is surrounding her body. Then she says to Xzar: You stay here for backup. Majikus Lyra Rabik and I are going in!

She walks to the front door of the room where Khalid and Jaheira are staying, is everybody ready? she whispers. Then with one smooth movement she kicks in the door, and then quickly puts her sword in a defending position.

Majikus Looks inside the room, he sees Jaheira sitting on the bed, Khalid is standing in a corner, looking at a large mystical mirror. Rabik Jumps up and throws a dagger, it takes out Khalid imidiatly, than he jumps back.

Lyra do your stuff, April shouts, try to amaze me! and she smiles.

 

Lyra smiles evilly. "Amaze you? Alright I'll show you what a fire-breather does."

She slips in the room with ease, noticing Jaheira fumbling to get her weapon and kill her. She tests her breath in a matter of half a second and blows. A jet of flame rushes from her mouth and scorches Jaheira. Then, as an afterthought, she mutters an incantation and disappears from the battle. In a matter of a minute, a dagger flies through the air and hits Jaheira in a dangerously severe spot.

 

Majikus watches all with interest and when a significant chance comes for him to step in, he takes a step forward and utters a few words. Immediately 3 skeleton's arise from the ground and start distracting Jaheria with their meager attempts of inflicting pain. While distracted, Majikus raises his hands and starts waving them. As time passes, particles of energy start to form around him and build up into a green ball. After a matter of seconds he releases it and sends it towards Jaheria. A thin green ray shoots out and hits Jaheria square in the chest. Her screams are cut short as he body degenerates into dust. Majikus feels her life force enter his empowering him ever more slightly. Majikus then snaps his fingers and the skeletons follow suit. He walks over to Khalid and throws him onto the bed ... his face is pale, life blood is drained.

Majikus looks at Khalid and feels ... he feels the intensity of life ... he feels the force draining, he feels the sorrow, the hurt, the pain of the past. Majikus delves deeper into Khalid's conciousness ... he sees Khalid recalling the loving memories of his time with Jaheria ... before she was killed... before his heart blackened ...

Khalid looks up at Majikus with his dying eyes and gathered all of his strength and uttered the words

"Now you know what i went through to love ... if you love, protect with all you have ... or live a shadow ..."

With that Khalid breathed his last and his head rested back on the bed. A sudden pain shot through Majikus as all of Khalid's memories shot through him and into the heavens. A tear trickled down Majikus's left eye out of sight of the others.

"Rest now ... have peace ... rejoice and relive with your one true love..."

He then turns to the others and winks.

"I just disintergrated her ... hope none of you wanted body parts or anything?"
He then turns to Lyra...
"I like your trick ... pray teach me sometime ... alone preferably ... er ... so as to not attract unwanted attention of course! Anyway, how are you lot feeling?"

 

Lyra dispels her invisibility. "I don't know... My old sorcerer master taught me that trick. Can your breath handle it? Besides... The first few times you'll scorch your tongue and you won't be able to cast an spells... It didn't matter to me for quite a while for I couldn't cast anything properly anyways."

Lyra laughs slightly at the memory and then continues, "I'm feeling fine. Rabbik? April? What shall we do now? If there is nothing else. I'd like to go on my daily midnight walk."

 

Majikus laughs
"I'm willing to try ... as long as you are willing to teach me? Also about these midnight walks ... why? whats so fascinating about them? Could you show me perhaps? what you see and learn from it? Anyway, as for any treasure's in this room, You lot can have it ... all i need is some gold to cover my costs and gain me a slight profit ..."

Majikus then casts telekenisis to the inn keeper to collect Khalid's tortured body and give him a proper burial. He then turns to Lyra

"May i be honoured by you showing me the path of your ways in the midnight?"

He smiles at her

 

Lyra smiles. "I'm willing to teach if you want to make such magical sacrifices on a mission like this. Midnight walks... For one, I would walk in daylight if there wasn't so much noise. Second, the moon is a very comforting thing. Third, nature has beauty no matter the circumstances as long as it isn't dying or dead.

"Anyways... I just lost a decent dagger but not to worry... I still have 4... no 5 left. Should I be of any assistance, which I'm probably not considering I'm not a rogue... I will take my leave out this door and continue on out of the building for that matter. Anyone desires what things I see during my walk is welcome, but if you are looking to talk, walking with me will not get you anywhere. I'll be back in an hour at the longest.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to get myself lost or killed at the matter." Lyra nods her head in a curt farewell and walks out.

 

Majikus looks longingly at Lyra as she walks off.
((Aww hell! Its now or never! Damn! i hate my nerves!))
Majikus turns to the others
"Yeah I'd like to see the sight of midnight ... guess i'll leave the looting to you guys"
Majikus runs off after Lyra. When he catches up with her, he pants slightly
"Just thought that i'd take you up on your offer of coming with you to watch the beauty of midnight bonding with the beauty of nature ..."

Before Lyra walks away. April say: Lyra? I guess we have to talk, about your moon-love. Then she turns to Rabbik, that was a nice show, I let the looting to you, I have some things to do.

Then she mumbles some words and she disapears in a pink cloud of tiny stars. Well majikus, Rabbik says, let's.. damn I'm alone... well lets look for this guy with information...

 

Lyra smiles to herself. "Somehow I think you would take me word for word."

Lyra walks out of the building and into the forest near Friendly Arm Inn. She takes off her boots her boots and loosed her hair. Now the woman's hair cascaded down her back and nearly to her waist. She takes Majikus's arm and practically drags him into the forest. Her light weight speed carries her quickly through the forest while skillfully she dodges the trees in her way. Lyra makes her way in the center of the forest where it opens up into a tiny grove. High above, the moon loomed ahead. She lets go of Majikus and breaks off a rose with it's stem from a rosebush. She takes her dagger and cuts the thorns off.

She bring it up to Majikus and whispers, "Nature is truly beautiful, if not at the first sight..."

 

Majikus follows Lyra into the woods as she half drags him, half follows her

((Man ... she's so beautiful ... her hair ... her body ... her all over ... ))

As they 'glide' through the forest, all of Majikus's attention is focused on Lyra and her beauty. For the first time in a long time, he feels moments of bliss passing through him ... streaks of peace, excitment, calm and peace all at once.

They reach the glade and Majikus sits down to try and admire the two beauties beheld infront of him. He looks up at the moon and followed the light. As he followed it down, he noticed that the light shone over the glade. The light made Lyra look like an angel ... her hair seemed so smooth and she seemed one with nature ... Majikus could only but look at her in awe.

As Lyra whispers to him, he looks into her eyes and takes ahold of the rose, covering his hand over hers. He smiles at her and whispers back

"That is true ... Nature does bring out the beauty in many things ... but in this case ... nature enhances the beauty of a particular being in front of me..."

Majikus's heart is beating faster but yet again, he still feels relaxed and calm ... almost as if it were right...
Majikus smiles and brings himself closer to her ... his eyes closing slightly as he nears her ...

 

Lyra leans forward and presses her lips against Maj's lush lips. A surge of heat courses through her veins and a sense of bliss fills her. She tears away and looks down.

"I... I didn't mean to," Lyra searchs for words. "I don't want to rush into this head first..."

Lyra slips her hand from the rose, leaving it in Majikus's startled grasp. With all urge to overcome temptation she gets up and goes to the flowerbeds to pick some flowers for tomorrow. After a while she walks back through the forest, knowing that Majikus is following. She avoids looking at him on the way back.

Lyra retrieves her boots and trudges back to Friendly Arm Inn. She climbs the stairs to her room and barely audible, dispels her lock, to enter her room and enable the lock once more.

Lyra lies on her bed, eyes open and sleepless.

 

Rabik enters the room, He sees a dwarf siting on a table. You had information about Alora? Rabik asks the dwarf. The dwarf turns his head and looks at Rabik. Then he says: You'r to late son, your to late...

What do you mean, rabik asks, Is she... No she is still alive but the members of the cult of the eye. have picked her up 2 days ago, just before you and your "Friends" arived here.

I heard them talk about Baldurs Gate and an organasation called the Iron thrown. Than they had a fight and the one who was carying Alora, said something like: I see you in the Nashkel mines, when you changed your mind!

I think that's the place you should look now...

April feels like she is having a bad trip. Images and colors are flashing in front of her eyes, and she hears voices from her youth: You can't swim? Then your not one of us.. you cant swim, you mean nothing. Your tricks won't help you... Then everything turns black.

When she opens her eyes she finds her self in Lyra's room, she sees Lyra on the bed and she looks a bit, confused. But she hasn't notices April jet. Didn't you lock the door? April asks to get her atention..

 

+++Mini Time Warp+++

Majikus feels the bondings of an unfamiliar force surge through him as he and Lyra embrace. In his mind, everything spins in a way that makes him feel as if he could fly. But when she retreats and mumbles an excuse and pulls away, Majikus could only but start and stop with his arm still stretched out to her ...

"Why are - ... No you can - ... I mean ... Lyra, you don't have to ... I mean ... I'm not offended ... I like your company Lyra ..."

Majikus gets up and walks over to wear she is picking flowers
"Its okay" he whispers "We'll let it happen naturally ... just ... well ... don't be afraid to let out your feelings ... don't hold back ... i try not to ..."
Majikus strokes the back of her head gently and then walks off to wait for her to finish while looking at the stars.
On the way back they are silent and before they get to their rooms, he looks over to her as they open their respective doors and sighs.
"You're so pretty" he mumbles and walks in. Once inside and the door is locked, he changes out of his normal clothes and proceeds to bed where he falls into a slumber filled with dreams of passion and bliss which is then torn away by fear and chance of loss...
