Are you sure about this one? I know I can sell stuff I've shoplifted as long as I sell to a fence (like the "merchant" in the thieves guild). It seems like actual pickpocked stuff ought to work the same.

 

Roger the fence in the sours and The Shadow thieves guild shop will accept stolen AND picpocketed goods.

I have been pickpocheting for a long time now and the experience i had you need a lot higher skill of 160 in some places. YOu will be able to pick pocket but you will fail every 2 or three its not time effecient to reload any time. My sugestion is to find potions early in the game and USE THEM. more potions will come you way. I stole all the weopens and major scrolls from the copper cornet right afer the slave quest. I aslo pickpocketed Ribald (ring of regeneration). Why wait fo powerful weopons later when you can have them now. Oh yea i usally gulf 3 potions and go on a stealing rampage. My skill would be around 240. That way i dont have to restart that often.

 

Is it less easy to steal in the Adventurer Mart then in another shop? For they have a Merchant that always watches you and always says (don't try to steal smomething)?

 

If I remember correctly, then there is no option to steal in the Adventurers Mart.

I meant stealing van Ribald. It's Impossible? I know it's possibl;e to pickpocket him.... but I think then you also need high pickpocketing-skills.

 

It isn't possible to steal Ribald's shop goods. Its possible to steal from the spellstore in the back of his shop though.
It is possible to Pickpocket him.

If I play dirty, the first thing I do when escaping Irenicus' dungeon is to buy Ribalds potions of thievery. Drink them. Pickpocket him. (I haven't fail in 3 attempts) Then Go To Some madam (Nin or something)) "who is NO kobold when it comes to prices. ( I remember so bad). She is around 100 feet NE of Adventurer's Mart. There I sell all My Wands with 1 charge, and steals them back. I find her quite easy to steal from. Then I have all wands with 50 charges. But Hey that's sleasy

Trunculo: I actually didn´t try that ... thanks for the hint anyway.

I used the term pickpocketiung synonymously for both shoplifting and pickpocketing - for it´s the same thieving ability.
