Not really. I don't think I can cry. I could be moved, but it wouldn't show.

Not really crying, more misty eyes, even when reading books. Birdsong (the book) got me being all emotional at the end. For films E.T. still stands firmly on top of my crying list.

Does crying of laughter counts, then I would nominate Pulp Fiction, the scene on the backseat of the car

But, yeah I kinda cried sometimes, Bambi or something, or the Green Mile, I kinda cried on the end of Evangelion too.

    Ain't I a softy? :p

I cried at the ending of Saving Private Ryan. I was moved when Hanks's character died, but when the old James Ryan asked if he had lived his life to the fullest, wether he had earned their sacrifice, I had big fat tears rolling down my cheeks for at least 5 full minutes. It made me ask myself if we today were earned the great sacrifice so many people made over 50 years ago. No other movie has ever moved me that much.

The first time I remember crying at a movie was in grade school over a movie about a dog. I think it was "Old Yeller". I think almost everyone was crying that day.

Tim Conway and Don Knotts are haliarous in "Private Eyes". Beware of the Wookalar. :D

If we're talking about crying from laughter, then I've done that more times than I can count. I've never really cried out of sadness in a movie, but I have gotten misty eyed.

I certainly do. It's the rare movie that can actually make me "cry", per se, but I frequently get misty eyed or emotional. I tend to become emotionally involved in movies, cry at sad ones, be scared by horror movies, etc. I find it helps me enjoy them more.

Of course, anybody that doesn't cry at films should test that against "Grave of the Fireflies", which may rank as the saddest movie I've ever seen. Even for those of you who don't like anime (and I hate it), the film is a classic. I cried like Bambi after his mother died (and I probably cried at that scene too).

Yup, there were a number of tear jerkers that made me cry or wants to cry. But here's two movies that grabbed me.

    1. Cool Runnings, this was really a surprise as it was a comedy. I was just touched when the bob-sled leader said he wants to finish the race after they had crashed. And they carried their sled towards the finish line.
    2. The Colour Purple, I hated Whoopie Goldberg and Steven Spielberd for that movie. It seems like the only purpose of that movie was to draw tears from your eyes. I'll never watch that movie again.

    Rarely, but it happens.
As I have the ****tiest memory I can't specifically recall, but I have my weak spots.
Especially vulnerable to musics - I can be heart-touched by melodies.
Unashamed not really, it's kinda silly to let an imaginary situation get to you IMO, but it happens.

Never in a cinema. Just once when i watched a movie. Braveheart it was. Kinda mixture between misty eyes and actually crying.

The one thing that could really make me cry was Rurouni Kenshin anime, picturing the end of Himura. That's the only thing that could really make me cry. Of course i could stop it, but i enjoyed it somehow. Usualy i dont get disturbed because i'm not that much drawn into the story and characters. At this anime though, i could not remain calm. And i'm not ashamed of that. If i watched it again, i'm sure i'd cry again.

Where is the option for "Yes, and I'm shamed to admit it." :shame:

Can't help it, get a bit too much into the movies when they are real good, like the end of Gladiator and the first episodes of Full Metal Alchemist.

How could I have forgotten The Iron Giant - the dialogue between Hogarth and Giant leading up to and including "Supermaaaaan!"

    Getting misty-eyed just recalling it.

I get misty-eyed all the time. And yes, i'll admit a very grave fact indeed: i shed tears during the first Harry Potter movie. My god i'm ashamed. It was in the movies, with me absolutely covering my eyes so none could see the horror. I'm not at all a fan of Harry-buthole-*****-Potter and despise the author and setting. Most fantasy films give me that feeling, yet i can't explain Potter... LotR movies didn't gave me that feeling. (why god why!)

[IMG] Only if it's a very well done and very engrossing movie where I can actually relate to the characters or it has a very touching moment that I feel is especially moving like in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest when the Chief does to Jack Nicholsons character what he lknows he would have wanted in that situation.
