I showed my friend the 'WAR!!!' roleplay in RC-Corner...and he laughed.
    I was NOT happy.

[IMG] Some of my friends know my SP existence. Most of them don't really care. All most of them know is that I'm the computer whiz who spends a lot of time in the computer lounge at school (i wonder why?). Doesn't really matter, I don't have the need to proclaim my internet life to make a statement to the world above.I'm happy with this kind of lifestyle.

My mother sort of knows what I do, though mostly everyone is oblivious to what I do, Frosty knows a bit as does BlackCat but they know hardly anything

Nobody knows my plans or secrets, I am sneaky, I am too quick

My brother knows a bit since I have to share the comp with him.
My parents know I play games, but don't know what exactely I do. I'm going out a lot lately and am thus not asocial, so they don't ask me anything.

My friends know nothing about it. And that's the way I'd like to keep it as they'd probably laugh about 'all the elves and fantasy stuff' as they call LotR.

Well, all my friends know I spend all my time on "that site." A few times at school my friends have came over whilst I was reading a topic and they'd ask "What's that site? Looks pretty neat." So I'd tell them, they'd try to load it, see that it didn't load quick enough and close the box down. Doesn't bother me, I wanna keep SP all for myself... And my girlfriend, of course, whom I have recently got hooked to the forums and chat-room... *Cough*Aziraphale*Cough*

Of course my family don't care what sites I'm on as long as they don't contain pictures of nekkid ladies... Strangely enough my mother claimed she didn't mind if I went on homosexual porn sites, not that I ever have. That concept seems strange to me.

Truth to tell there're better people online than in my real life, simply because I'm 14 and don't give a damn about popularity. I don't give into the "but you're so good with computers" bribery tactics people use on me to try and get me to do their work, and I don't care who thinks I'm idiotic for being able to use a computer.

Some (real) friends have thought I'm odd to trust people (especially DM!) with personal information if they see me chatting, but they figure it's a phase. Everyone always figures that. But I've always done my own thing, and no one dares to ask too many questions. :D

EDIT: They've seen my nicknames but have no clue where they come frome, besides, they all think my real name's funnier

I would also have to say that my cat knows the most since she is the only one that ever sees. She better keep her mouth shut.

My immediate family knows, but my friends have no clue. Actually, none of my friends have a clue that I like "fantasy"-type books/CRPG's/websites.

Friends, yes. I don't normally tell anyone unless they start asking me about my interests (as friends do). For the most part, nobody else cares.

My brother, an attorney in Texas played BG1 through to ToB. He's never been on SP AFAIK, but he had a pretty funny story to tell...He was at some black tie function schmoozing with the rest of the jet set, and someone asked him what he'd been doing lately with his free time. "Well, I've been playing this game called Baldur's Gate..." He proceeded to relate his epic battle (battles, rather...several reloads) between his paladin and Firkraag. ("But then, wouldn't you know it, he wing buffeted my mage/cleric before she could fire off her finger of death spell, then one 20d6 fireball later, and the rest of us were toast.") He had been talking for a full five minutes before he noticed the reaction he was getting. He hasn't played since.

Incidentally, Rastor, are you plural? Or is it supposed to be "Supreme Archmage of the Underdark"?

Yup they know and they participate. My uncle is on here every once and awhile (The Wise and The Grey) and one of my buds goes on (Soapy Cuts)(pretty new). And as for everyone else only my family that lives with me knows about my time spent on here, or at leats one fourth of my time I'm usualy on late at night when my family is sleeping.

My mom thought I was in a cult because I was on the internet a lot. What a weirdo.
