    I typed faster than I thought. Minsc's romantic dialogue will be challenging... that boundary between humor and taste will be interesting. But I love a challenge. So I'll mull for a week or two and then follow up with you.

    Regarding the quest: Is there a concise summary somewhere of what was originally intended for Minsc? And how far they got? I'd like to dovetail with the original intention. My impression, perhaps completely baseless, is that they gave some of the Ranger questing to Valygar.

    "Cover your nose, Boo! We will leave no crevice untouched!" Hoookaaaay, this is gonna be interesting.

    First, can anyone confirm me this: Imoen is your sister only because she has part of Baal's soul, NOT that she has your blood. Your mother the priestess only had ONE child.
    Second, can anyone confirm me that ALL Minsc cared about is his OWN missions, protect a witch, prove to be worthy etc.

    I vote for Imoen. Fighting all our way through til the end. I like Minsk also, he's funny, but I have to make my priorities... :D

    @tayja

    You are serious about romancing Minsk? Ok, he has some strange kind of charm and he would be better than Anomen...
    But Anomen means no way...and Minsk means one day!

    I think, I wouldn't be able to stand his "Boo likes your eyes" or similar stuff more than twice... :rolleyes:

    Valygar (or even Yoshimo, Sarevok or Edwin) would be a more interesting and substantial option.

    A part of the challenge that I enjoy is simply because there are some less than max stats characters available to go through with in this game. Although my own choice of character has already been eliminated, I enjoy Minsc more than Imoen simply because he does so much with so little. However, that is only my definition of the word 'challenge'. It is very possible that others might not have the same view that you do; or I do, for that matter. However, putting it the way you did, prompted me to respond. Forgive me if I do not share your feelings in regards to this poll. You may be able to agree: if we all thought the same there would be no need for a poll.

    Well there are already romance mods for Valygar (female PC) and Yoshimo (with new NPC Kachiko) in "Tortured Souls". Actually my preference would have been to have a pc romance with Yoshimo. He's the most personable male in Amn IMO.

    However, I like to roleplay. And I like to roleplay for humor, even occasional silliness. So Minsc it is. Originally he was *supposed* to have a quest, but time ran out and the original programmers didn't complete it.

    An Edwin/a romance has humorous possibilites as well. One challenge at a time.

    I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe Minsc's quest was supposed to have something to do with the slavers in the Temple District - not the ones with Hendak in the Copper Coronet.

    Other possibilities would be to link Minsc with some of the quests that really stand on their own. I suppose possibilities would include the Tanner murderer, or possibily the house in the Docks district - I can't think of the name of that group - the one with the lich, elder orb, vampire and high level mage. Still, I think the slavers in the Temple District offer the most possibilities, and you are never given any information as to why they are there in the first place...

    Yes, Imoen is only your half-sister. You share a common father in Bhaal. You don't have the same mother. When you think about it, it would pretty much be impossible for you to have the same mother if you were playing any other race besides human...

    Here's a question - a person with a human and an elf as parents is half elf. If you have a human and a half elf parent, or an elf and a half elf parent, are you still half elf? Or are you either 1/4 or 3/4 elf?

    If Minsc can hang onto his slim lead, all will be right in the world once again. Granted, Minsc is not my favorite NPC, but does rank in the top 5. I can't even believe Imoen made it to the finals. If she won it would be a great injustice.
