    What is wrong with Paris Hilton? She is a fine piece of ass, perfectly ****able. If there are any guys here that wouldn't like to ......, there is something wrong with you.

    Well, on the plus side:
    she's bleeping RICH;
    she's famous;
    a lot of people find her attractive...
    I suppose so in a 'societally determined ideal'...

    But in MY opinion (which is the only one that counts to me :D ) I find her too tall (I'm 5'5" and somewhat insecure :heh: ) and too skinny (limbs appear almost spindly in pics I've seen and I just don't go for the runway model look)

    but the most important reasons why I "wouldn't like to ......" is twofold:
    I) I'm a fully-trained husband, I have no impuses to commit an act of infidelity...and I've still got scars from my indoctrination to that line of thinking ;)

    ii) if I did ever do anything with this lass, my brain would explode soon after from the inability to TELL anyone about it - for fear of it getting back to my Mistress...er, wife (ahem) :rolleyes:

    So, I guess, in Sarevok's opinion "there is something wrong" with me (I'm married :D )

    How true - if she's a woman, she gets all the public ridicule; if he's a man, he gets elected governor...some standard.

    Really? I'm not aware of Schwartzenegger having a porn starlet image troughout his election campaign or at any time anyway. While it's true there's a lot of chest boasting and muscle flexing in his movies, he hardly makes money on sex the same way Paris Hilton does. Whether we like his political views or not, or his acting. I'm by no means a fan, but the comparison is obviously flawed unless there's something I don't know.

    Yes really. While I was not speaking of him directly, since Bill Clinton was a governor also, and was not really trying to bring anyone's politics into the discussion (Bill was a democrat and Arnold a Rpeublican) I thought you may find this of interest on Arnold:

    If a woman described herself that way, we would call her a _____.

    @chevalier:
    Perhaps you didn't hear about the 'orgy' scandals he was supposedly involved in, or the extremely sexist remarks he reportedly made in his early career.

    EDIT: See Chandos' post above.

    @Chandos: The excerpt was quite educative, thanks. I don't approve of that kind of attitude in the least and it's a total atithesis of what I believe in, whichever the gender of the person speaking. I surely wouldn't vote for anyone with that kind of past unless it were perfectly apparent that he had changed. He speaks in the past tense, though, about highschool times which were some long time ago. There's quite a number of prominent people with a turbulent past. Clinton's adventures didn't start during his presidential term and it looks like he was sort of cooling down at that point. Paris Hilton is probably going to become one of such now stable and somewhat respectable people with a turbulent past at some point but currently she's in the middle of her cheap sexy starlet frenzy. What sucks is that he probably got some of his votes for that kind of memories making him look tough and embodiment of anything male in the eyes of some losers with voting rights. A woman would be expected to lose support for slutty lifestyle coming out, but the truth is that there will always be losers worshipping porn starlets and other such up to the point of exchanging votes for some skin. Seen my topic in the Whatnots? The PM candidate who posed half-naked in oil is probably going to be elected. If her party at all makes it to the parliament, that is, but nonetheless...

    Edit: Sorry for the political connection. Didn't suppose you thought of both of them and yeah, I do recall Clinton's adventures as a public prosecutor and during the election campaign.

    @Felinoid: Sexist is not necessarily sexual.

    Chev - I knew you would not approve, since you have very high standards here. I would post the link for this but it contains very graphic details and offensive language. This is just a blurb:

    Awww... Okay. You have a point there. I doubt Paris stories are as gross. While she has that cheap porn starlet kind of image, this one guy sounds like a psycho. If a noble and respectable elderly Republican lady senator suddenly started swapping tales of being gang-banged by black men, I can see where here political future would go.

    It does look like women are ostracised far more harshly for slutty conduct than men are, though I've seen girls feeling low for being a virgin in early or middle twenties and guys thinking something was wrong with them. Nowadays women also "do" men.

    I suppose part of the reason behind the double standard is the female partner's receptive role during a sexual intercourse. It appears more gross to let many strangers in than to go in. There's also not so much of a losing virginity issue with men, either.
