I have two pillows on my bed - I have a queen sized bed so having only one pillow on it would look kind of odd. I actually use both of them under a couple different circumstances though.

First, I find it easier to fall asleep with a cooler pillow so if I wake up during the night I will swap out the pillow I was using which would be relatively hot from body heat for the fresh pillow.

The second instance when I would use the second pillow is if I have a cold. In that case I will stack the two pillows in order to elevate my head more so that any phlegm will drain down the throat easier.

Sleep apnia, acid reflux, pregnancy, joint pain to name a few. I need at least 2 pillows because I can't breathe flat on my back due to my other 'pillows'. ;)

Two sleeping pillows + one huge pillow for computering (it's right next to the bed) and reading.

I use the other pillow to lift the head, the other one's soft (and has the cool side :p )

Each of the beds in our house have four pillows. No more, no less -- it must be symmetric. Two for sleeping on and two for decoration.

T3's crib is throwing a monkey wrench into the mix as he only has one pillow.

I'm sure Mrs Bruno will find a way to make his bed symmetric, too... eventually.

My bed has three pillows, and two covers (one warm/normal-sized plumeau, one thin/large plumeau). Which is comfortable - and handy, because the large plumeau cases come with two cussion cases, and the small ones with one ;)

I have two pillows and used to always use them both to sleep on. But as I got older I found it started to strain my neck so now I move the biggest, thickest pillow and just use the softer comfyier (is that a word?) one to sleep on.

My bed has 3 pillows. One for me, one for my wife, and a full-sized body pillow that we fight over...even though I usually get it. :p :rolling:

We have 5. 2 for me, 2 for hubby and my comfort pillow or 'body pillow' as Ofelix called it. If hubby touches my comfort pillow he's in trouble!
