Star Wars. More exiting and more original. But if I could just "pick" the good ST episodes (from the hundreds), my vote might had been different. :)

WHAT?! Have you ever truly listen to a TNG episode? I mean all those term for the technology are from science but put in a random way! I mean The writters had took random science term... But anyway I prefer Star Trek myself. Have you ever wondered why the ¨new¨ Star trek movies is named Nemesis? C'mon Nemesis mean memory in latin and memory do not have anything to do in this movie...

Nemesis can also stand for a mortal enemy...

For me it's Star Wars all way. I fell in love with the movies as a kid, and even Phantom Menace didn't manage to lessen my love for the GFFA. (Pingpong Yoda did come close, though... )

I used to hate Star Trek, but recently watching some of the original episodes and realizing why exactly something very dear for me spawned from Trek has given me a new respect for Trek, I still prefer Star Wars over it.

Gothmog, you forgot the most important and best of them all, Spaceballs!!

And Star Wars get my vote, Star Trek is so slow and boring and with a sucky story.

[IMG] I still say Starwars is better.

Edit: Could anyone explain to me how I voted twice?

Star Wars all the way! I love them all, even the latest two. And I'm proud of it.

:tie: :tie: :tie: :tie: :tie: :tie:

I have to admit, though, that I don't see why the two should be mutually exclusive. There are lots of fun in Star Trek; I especially like the Next Generation series. Patrick Stewart is a very, very good actor. :borg:

Ultimately, though, I'd have to say that George Lucas' grand, sweeping story wins out. Star Trek is too... sterile for my liking. It also makes some downright ridiculous assumptions about human nature (let's face it, we're never all going to be friends and live together in peace in harmony). Star Wars is dirtier, grubbier and ultimately, closer to home.

Edit: Oh, and I almost forgot: Star Trek has puny, boring ships and weapons. Lightsabers, X-Wings and Star Destroyers rule!

That is pure herecy! I shall burn you devil!
( Comment meant to be funny )

On a more serious note, the fact that you like more Star wars is okay with me, but don't disparage Star trek either. Since your opinion is not absolute truth and opinion may change betwen people.

    Both good.

Both have ideas in them (some hidden).

Star Wars are more equal to a fairy-tale.

Trek more ideas - every film or part has some.
Some of them stretch through more seasons (Diana + Riker :) ). Todays enemy of yours is your future ally ...

I voted for Trek. I learned german from watching scifi shows on Austrian TV: Star Trek, Moonbase Alpha I, ...

I like all seasons ... all captains ... like vulcan - they are sooo elvish ;)

For all Star Wars funs - I like it too ...
