    Other, Human, Maybe.

Yeah, I voted human even though we've already got a plethora of them. Just personal preference -- for some reason I really dislike the avatars of the little people. Although if you really want to go with a little person, a Good dwarf of some type would be nice. Hmmm... maybe even a dwarven paladin? Dunno if that's allowed in 2e's rules :)

Class choice is really a matter of your own preference. I think most class options are fairly-well represented between the Bioware NPCs and the mods currently out. Choose one that you can really enjoy creating, and roleplaying! Fighter/Mage is already covered by Solaufein, I think. Paladin (Cavalier) is represented by Saerileth, as is Inquisitor by our dear Keldorn. Fighter/Thief... well, for combat purposes, Valygar more or less can work as one already. Ranger/Cleric is more or less covered by Jaheira spell-wise (so she's missing some spells; she still has her Raise Dead knock-off, though) and Anomen combat-wise. Bards...well, I personally feel that Haer'Daelis already has the single useful bard kit. Maybe if we buffed up the vanilla-bard with some of Icewind Dale's additional songs, it would be more interesting, but that's quite a task (if it's even possible).

Come to think of it, the only classes I'd really like to see that are underrepresented so far are a Specialist/General mage of good alignment, and a monk of any alignment.

But don't let me stop you from creating what your heart wants! I'm just letting mine do some talking.

I agree with Silver, a nice thief kit that is actually WORTH IT would be a nice implement to the game! I was thinking that Sime or whatever her name was, you know the girl who helps you get to Brynnlaw would be nice, but I remember hearing something about that already???

OMG I would LOVE to see Coran and Safana back into the game too! I mean, they weren't that strong but hey, they were always nice! Maybe a mod that allows you to save them, or maybe just Coran and meaning you have to travel somewhere (possibly back to BG) to save Safana. Meh, we can figure all that out later!

What I've always wanted to see, and of course USE, is a thief kit multi-classed with a specialist wizard! I know it's illegal, but if Aerie can do something illegal, why can't someone else! Maybe a Swashbuckler or Assassin mixed with a Conjurer or something would be REALLY nice and deadly! A romance would also be interesting ey! :D

There're already three incredible ones; if you don't know how to use them properly, that's your problem. :p

You can have Coran in the Tortured Souls mod. It also goes a little more in-depth into Yoshimo and Valygar's personalities, IIRC.

You can't mix a specialist wizard with a kit. Both are considered kits, and you can't have more than one for hard-coded reasons. A specialty kit that combines aspects of both would be possible, but likely more work than it's worth. Not to mention that kuemp's talking about an NPC mod, not a kit mod.

Hehe Fel, don't you remember the loooong chats we all had about my favourite super class like a couple of months ago! If someone wants it to happen then they'll MAKE it happen! :D

Btw, explain to me HOW those three thieves are actually useful in this game becasue I find them pathetic! I guess that's why I tend to use thief of some kind in my game alot.

The swashbuckler can get near as nasty as a fighter in combat with the +s to hit and damage every few levels as well as being geared towards dual wielding.

AND if he/she was to be combined with a mage (or even a specialist) in MULTICLASS could you imagine the crazyness! :D

I voted Other, Elf, and No.

I'd really like to see a single-class Druid NPC (apart from Cernd, of course). Preferably a Totemic Druid, as I've always liked that class but never did commit to a Totemic PC.
A good siingle-class Thief NPC would be good too. Maybe an Assassin or a Swashbuckler. Even though Yoshimo's sorta got it covered, a Bounty Hunter wouldn't be bad either.

Actually, I'd like to see Gnomish assassin, equipped with his custom weapon, turnipcutter dagger! :D

@Jhonka: have you tried Hubbelpot? He is a great druid and a very nice character (very funny song).

A fulltime Thief would be good, as would be a Monk or a Barbarian (I would have said Jester but there is the Kido mod).

IMHO an NPC has to cover something the PC don't do without becoming the centre of attention (remember Chloe...).

    @Felinoid

I know you are a real 2E fan, and just by chance I happen to read Bard's book, not that I have it, I am not that lucky, living in Turkey, but a sorta-illegal site publihses all the books of 2E and this place is my treasure!

I initially thought bards as happy-go-lucky (as your description) and harmless fellows. But a skald with a tendency and liking for war and blood spilling may just be suitable for a dwarf! Maybe. Though I also remember in some fantasy book, dwarves were happliy singing songs as they squashed goblinoids in a battle. Heh. :shake:

No-one'll ever make a two kit dual or multiclass happen, though, since it's impossible because of engine limitations.

I think Dwarves are possible for the skald kit in the Bards handbook. I could be remembering a different class book though.

I'd love to see a counterpoint dwarf to Korgan eventually though. Much like they had the two in BG1 that were very opposite.

In the Dwarves book it talks about them singing war songs during battle to psych themselves up and scare their enemies. But that is a common fantasy idea in various books. One to be of particular note is The Hobbit. The Dwarves that Bilbo travels with are quite prone to singing on various different occassions.

    @ Prine,

If someone wants it bad enough, it's GOING TO happen! i'm sure someone would come up with something. Possibly a 'new' type of engine which could handle such a combination, I don't really know. But I guess someone would need alot of free time and would actually be willing to do such a thing. But now we're :yot:

Umm, who would really want a dwarf bard in the first place anyways?!?! :D

Another character I'd like to see would be Saemon Havarian or something like him because he was great! A fighter dualed to a mage is nice, but just his attitude was what really made him appealing! :D

A whole new engine?!? Sure, if you want to spend a few years of your working life for no pay, go right ahead. Not to mention that I've already mentioned the possibility of a single specialty kit including everything you want (you can cram a lot in there).

    I would. :p I love dwarven songs.

Then perhaps you may want to try Ghareth, a One-Day NPC over at PPG. I don't think he's got the 'attitude' of Saemon, but I bet most players would just plain kill him if he did. :p I know I kill that pr!ck every chance I get.

LOL no way! I love Saemon! He's my hero! :D It would be really nice to have him as an NPC but hey, nice to dream huh.

And NO I don't like Garreth either, he's pretty much as annoying as Anomen, so eww, no.

So Fel, you think you can 'cram' all of what I want into a single specialty kit for me! If you would, I'd gladly make you my new hero! but I must ask ... Drawven songs :hmm:

Saemon was a thief dualled mage, btw. Ghareth was interesting but his stats were puny. Yes, this is totally off topic.

You people put ideas in my head. I'm thinking of 3 NPC Packs (1 good, 1 evil, 1 neutral). Mostly, this came from not having enough of a choice, especially evil parties. Oh boy, Korgan, Viconia and Edwin *again*.

    Goody-Two Shoes (good aligned):
    Human paladin (undead hunter)
    Half Elf R/C
    Dwarf fighter
    Gnome illusionist

    Bad Boys/Girls (evil aligned):
    Tiefling Cleric of Talos
    Half Orc barbarian
    Halfling assassin

    Walk the Line (neutral):
    Human monk
    Half Elf F/D
    Half Elf druid (totemic)
    Gnome F/I
    Dwarf F/T

Probably, but I won't; do it yourself. :p It's not like you can't find a kit creator if you want to.

    @kuemper:
I like the evil pack, most of the neutral pack (there're already two monks out there), and the R/C. 8 NPCs enough for you? :shake:

I'd go for an Elven assassin, just because :D
