At 13 but I had smaller amounts before that to get the taste

I was about 15 when I started properly drinking, and taking drugs, actually, I was 15 when I first smoked ganja, introduced to me by my italian american cousins, ****ers, they were 19, and 23 ffs, both female, giving me drugs at that age, what were they thinking? I was living in America temporarily at the time. I've been smoking cigarettes since the age of 13. I don't take drugs now, barely ever, and I don't drink much, as in I only drink when I go out, hardly ever at home.

 

Around 14/15 just drinking. The last 3 years or so I have been drinking quite heavily. Especially when I go out. I've never taken drugs though (except for a little weed) and I don't smoke.

 

I don't remember when I started drinking, which is ironically probably due to the drinking.

 

I was probably about 14 but I can remember getting into nightclubs at age 15. 15 was my heavy drinking year Since then I haven't bothered much

 

I was 15 and the stuff was something Russian. According to my buddy, 80% alc or something.

 

I actually started drinking I think about 16 but alcohol wasn't my vice so much as another maybe-in-another-10-years-legal substance.

 

I was 14 and it was a 26 oz of good old Jack Daniels. Gotta love that stuff.

 

I first started drinking when i was 19, got drunk for the first time at 20 (in college). Also 20 was my first exposure to illegal drugs. I quit at age 31 however. When my cousin (who never got into any of that stuff) died suddenly of a massive heart attack, I started to rethink the risks I was taking. I ended up back to church with a renewed faith in Jesus Christ and the miracle of forgiveness.

 

A little later than most people here - when I was 17.

I actually got into a pub (even though I looked 15) and downed 7 ciders, not knowing that I was drunk, until I stood up. I managed to get home, and woke up the next morning with my hair stuck to my pillow, due to the vomit. Very disgusting. Needless to say, I cannot drink cider anymore, so I stick to beer, wine and vodka.

 

I have been drinking regularly since i was 12...not that that is very long anyways =/

 

I don't count the time my step-father got me drunk at 11 -- he thought it was funny to get a kid drunk. He was really amused at a kid with a hangover (banging the doors, yelling in my face, jerking me around).

I didn't start drinking on my own until I was 21 -- legal age in the state I was living.

Oh, the stories I could tell about puking...or urinating in strange places...but I really shouldn't.

I'm a bit surprised at how young most people here have started. In my country the media has been gasping at the horrible state of our youth and their recreational habits, but I guess we're not so bad.

 

I could tell a few disgusting puking stories too... but nahhhh.

I have been nicknamed "The Dwarf" by my friends for my appearantly awesome ability to guzzle a ****load of spirits without puking my guts, and still standing up after everyone passed out. They're weird. I'm not short and fat and beardy. But I'll admit that a drinking contest with me is a race to the floor for my challenger. Usually I'm still drinking and they're puking their guts out in a bucket.

 

We consume ridicilous amounts, but we're pretty chill-out and laid back, puking's been extremely rare for the past few years. (It wasn't always so...!) Just listening to music, jamming with some buddies, great insightful conversation (!?!?), that sort of thing. All at the peace and quiet of a friend's house. That's the life.

To me it's just all about getting that nice buzz going and maintaining it. Although strange things happen sometimes - I once carried an entire conversation with someone in Swedish...I don't speak Swedish. Must've been half gibberish.

A little horror story from one of my earliest attempts at drinking: I'd had a few more than my tolerance at the time would've allowed and went to the bathroom for #1. All of a sudden, bam! Spasmic vomiting and passing out on the floor.

At that point something had to give. In this case the bladder.

 

My dad started giving me beer when I was two, and I was allowed my own glass of wine on holidays(small ones, but still) by the age of seven.

I really only drink moderately to heavily two, three times a year, since drinking was never a big deal to me.
