    To add to what Felinoid said, not only do several characters in the game refer to him as a ranger, but Minsc himself says he is a ranger.

    I'm afraid that one line of dialogue, said under stress at the beginning of the game, does not rule out many other pieces of dialogue through the entire game.

    It's obvious that you guys need to read a few books about Rashemen. Then you are going to understand what berserker means (it would take too long to explain). I recommend you Elaine Cunningham's "Windwalker" Trilogy.
