Exercise? Yes, I have begun doing some three or four times a week. Usually do it for many hours, preferably at night. Pleasent, and good for the health as well. Two birds with one stone. :shake:

I have begun reducing my toothpick gnawing, the urges are also lessening in intensity. Still holding well.

Well, it's been nearly three weeks now, and it's smooth sailing. I have severed my dependence on toothpicks as well, and urges have seriously lessened in intensity. They're very bearable now, and as a direct consequence of stopping smoking, cash is slowly stacking up, and I have noticed that I am in better shape now. Also, it's amazing how much better food and drinks actually tastes now. Why did I waited so long to finally stop. :D

Disciple - glad to hear that you have felt the financial benefits of not smoking. Cigarettes are so expensive!

Hell yeah, 80 bucks more per month is indeed welcome. The savings account is slowly fattening up. A pretty damn good start to treat myself to a trip in Mexico when I finish school. I'll send ya all postal cards :p

Never had that happen. Food tastes the same as it did when I smoke 2 packs a day.

Good job man. Quitting smoking is tough. The longer you go the easier it will be. It's great that your wallet is fatter now. Do you find it easier going up stairs or taking long walks?

I quit smoking (cigarettes) over ten years ago. I got mononucleosis (yes, as an adult) and had to quit. I couldn't eat, much less smoke. When the illness passed, I was over smoking, so I didn't pick it up again.

I quit smoking pot (marijuana) 545 days ago. So far, so great. Really has me living today.

Yes!!! I have seen an ENORMOUS difference in physical shape! Each day, I take a walk of nearly an hour and a half, thing I couldn't possibly do as smoker. And even better, I didn't even put on a few pounds, in fact, I *lost* some. The extra cash did came in extra-handy to recover after expensive Xmas... I've got only $.38 till friday, but at least, Xmas debts are a bad memory now.

So far, it's been all positive. I do not regret stopping even the slightest bit.

Sounds you're a new and improved person. Good for you. You're a role model for others in similar situations. :thumb:

I don't know about "new and improved", Harbs, but that is a bad habit I'm not sad to be finally rid of. Yayness.
