    [​IMG] Tomorrow I start playing vetinarian :(

    Merlin is showing early signs of respiratory infection. We've put the heat up and I'm going to get some eucalyptus oil and vics' vapour rub to make a little steam room for him, should clear it up within a week and keep him in good condition until Kev can get a day off for a trip to the vets, in which we would need to take all four snakes and provide heating for them because of how bad the weather is, how long we'd be out and how stressful the expedition will be on the animals. So really hoping a full vet trip is actually unecessary.

    Urh, I hurt my ankle pretty bad, I blame my boots and the ice. So I was walking along the river, I like it in winter everything's covered in ice and snow and you can hear the wind all around you. My boots are in a pretty bad shape, the sole is ripped show sign of heavy uses. Anyway I've been walking this narrow path that follows the river bank for years, even in winter, but today I must have slipped or something because I twisted my ankle pretty hard and it hurts like hell now. :mad:

    [​IMG] We put his heating up overnight and he seems to have bounced back, got him out for a few minutes and his breathing was silent again. Still going to pick up the stuff and give him a short course of home treatment just to help his immune response along.

    We're also lining the door to stop the draft into the livingroom over night, just to minimise the amount of cool air coming to the vivs. Going to swap out a large portion of his bedding from his day side of the vivarium and spray down his hide to give him an extra clean sleeping area.

    I've got to check all the pythons later though - which I'm not looking forward to as one of them likes to bite and checking a Python for RI means gently teasing their mouth open and having a good look inside...

    The three royals are as good as gold and just wiggle a bit, the spotted will probably bite me on the eyeball :p

    Maybe the ice needs to be replaced :p . ION today is a provincial holiday. Family Day. It started out in Alberta but now Saskatchewan and Ontario have seemed to latch on to it. I wonder when the rest of Canada will join us?

    The what now ? Yeah the ice really needs replacing, how about replacing winter by spring ? Oh yes but the joy of living on an island means that each year in spring there's a chance the river will overflow, yeepee. :rolleyes:

    O.K. this is one of those weird and funny coincidences that just happen sometimes. My son was using my computer so I turned on the T.V. and just happened to catch a movie right as it was starting ... and the movie was? Yep - Blade Runner. HD no less!

    Had to reload my run disc for Deamon tools, so tried out Icewind Dale. Can't believe I tried it out for 12hr so far!

    There is a certain amount of guilty pleasure to be had when one is playing Zen Pinball online and beating the pants off of players with names like "Will-U-Blo-Me" and "Kauzin-U-Pain" :lol:

    Actually, I found out there’s more to the story. There seems to be a way to mix crushed breath mints with marijuana, and smoke it quickly through an expensive wood pipe; there’s a documentary explaining the science behind the process, and apparently it’s done in rather poor taste. Tucker’s son borrowed a copy of the documentary without permission.

    That’s right, Tuck’s tyke took tacky “Teak-toke: take tic tac ‘tick-tock’ (Tech Talk)”
